The breathtaking and beautiful beach landscape greets you as you enter this cottage. An amazing place to stay and relax with family and friends. This cozy cottage with 1,274 sq ft offers a view of the lake from every corner of the house. Sliding door access to a spacious yard for fun yard games. Access to paddle board/kayak/skim boards/lake Noodles/other Beach toys. Strong WiFi that allows you to connect and have service in any room to even outside on the two decks. Not all cellphone works, so this strong WiFi really comes in handy if you, your family and friends still want to connect, but if you would like to escape from those phones feel free to turn that WiFi off. There is a landline 📞 phone in the house that comes in handy for your use too. Fire pit on the beach to enjoy and have s’mores. Great trees for hammocks to enjoy that beautiful breeze the lake has to offer. Speaking of wind, if you're into action water sports this is the place to be. Right next to the pier and channel which creates the best waves for surfing/kite boarding. With the protection from the pier also creates less of a current during strong south winds leading to a safer swimming area if there were to be high waves and high winds. Roomy kitchen/dining area to be able to cook meals and enjoy them. Great air conditioning, fans and a solid amount of windows to always enjoy that cool breeze. There is a nature trail, 3 parks and a boat launch within 1.5 miles. This cottage is snugged right in the middle of two of the most popular Michigan beach towns, Holland and Grand Haven. 3 miles away from one of the best restaurants, Sandy Point Beach House. All in all this place is one of the best places you can stay to enjoy Lake Michigan and the beauty of Pure Michigan. An unforgettable place where you can share great memories with family and friends.

Wonderful place to stay
We loved every minute of our visit. The sunsets are breathtaking, the water is clear, and you'll never want to leave the beach. Cynthia is a lovely host and their beach house is delightful. We would definitely book again.

Great Lake Michigan Vacation
Cottage was as advertised! The home is well stocked and located an easy drive to both Grand Haven and Holland. We really enjoyed the private beach. It was very accessible with plenty of space to spread out. The host was very responsive and easy to work with. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

Beautiful Stay on the Lake
The property was gorgeous and clean and the owners were attentive. Private access to beach front on the lake was amazing. The lake was shallow enough for quite a ways out so was perfect for a fun, safe time for both adults and kids. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Paradise in West Michigan
If you are looking for a place to truly "get away", this is it. Located on a dead-end street with your own personal beach and sunset, it's perfect for reading a good book on the deck or long walks on the beach or any water activities you enjoy. This is truly a gem for the vacation we all need right now from this crazy world.

Absolutely stunning sunsets and amazing accommodations. Truly the equivalent of a 5 star hotel. The location to both Grand Haven and Holland perfect if you want to dine out. Fully equipped grill and kitchen as well as multiple eating spaces if eating in. Quite the perfect week and Cynthia extremely accommodating. Highly recommend!!

Spectacular!!!
Location with a million dollar view! The house was perfect and had everything we needed. The paddleboards and the kayaks were so great for us and our kids. The hosts, Cynthia and Jerry were so welcoming and accommodating. We will be back!

Nice little get-a-way
This property was exactly as pictured; the house was comfortable and very accommodating. The beach and view was beautiful and not too many steps either. It is wonderfully located, not much traffic and a 15 minute drive to either Grand Haven or Holland. The owners were pleasant and easily accessible, although we didn't have to reach out to them during our stay because we had no issues. It was a wonderful week!

This was the most well stocked house I've ever stayed in. The house was perfect, clean, and comfortable. The beach was amazing and we all loved the week here. Dream Cottage
Beautiful view of Lake Michigan. Easy walk to beach with plenty of beach, and beach and lake toys. Cottage is bright and open and incredibly well stocked. Neighbors are friendly with one even offering to let us use their grill if we couldn’t get ours started! (But we did.) Cottage is close to great walking/running paths.

The perfect getaway…again
This was our second year in a row renting this gem. This house is perfect for any family to enjoy, and has the easiest beach access of any Lake MI house I’ve ever stayed at. You don’t need to pack anything but your clothes- this house has it all! Cynthia is always so gracious and helpful! Thank you for the use of your beautiful home!

Relax By The Lake
As described in other reviews, this is a 60 year old updated Lake cottage. Living area is upstairs with great lake views. All beds are downstairs, but still have good lake views. The beach is close and you will easily hear the waves. Lots of beach toys available. Be aware that this propety is on a well and water supply/pressure can be a challenge when demand is high. We would definitely rent again!

Perfect week at Lake Michigan!
We cannot say enough about this wonderful property- such incredible sunsets, a wide beach with shallow water, and a low bluff makes the clear water very easily accessible. The home is beautiful and well appointed with many thoughtful touches. Expansive sliding doors upstairs and down show off the phenomenal view. The owners are so thoughtful, helpful and responsive! We really enjoyed all the water toys, loungers, SUPs, kayaks, raft- it made the lake so enjoyable. Highly recommended on all accounts!

Beautiful Lake Michigan Shore!
The lake house is exactly as pictured. The three bedrooms and one bath are on the lower level. The upper level has a very nice kitchen, bath, dining area, and living area. Both the upper deck and the lower porch have beautiful views of Lake Michigan. Stores are not far away on US 31. Cynthia Cox is very easy to deal with and left us a wine basket. Overall, very nice. Everyone enjoyed the beach and the beach toys.

Cozy cottage with amazing views!
We rented this cottage for a week with our two teenagers and it was a perfect Lake Michigan getaway! The cottage has everything you need with comfortable beds. The Lake Michigan sunsets and huge sandy beach were amazing! We enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks and dinners out in Holland and GH. Another plus is it’s in a quiet neighborhood on a dead-end street and has lots of walkable and bikable parks and attractions nearby. The owners were extremely attentive and even stopped by to help when we accidentally locked the keys in the shed….oops;) Would definitely recommend AND stay here again! Thank you for everything Cynthia!

The perfect trip
Truly an amazing experience with a wonderful host. The proximity to both Holland and Grand Haven allowed you to enjoy what both cities have to offer. The views off the deck and having the beach a few steps away was wonderful. The beach itself is amazingly soft with plenty of space and relatively quiet with just local neighbors on the beach with you. Our kids had plenty to do with all the beach amenities provided- kayaks, paddle boards, boogie boards, sand toys, and a giant foam pad, plus plenty of beach chairs. Cynthia had everything that you could need and clear directions on where things were. At one point we even had an issue with one of the beach items and right away she responded and took care of it.

Great visit with easy beach (sand!) access
Cynthia is a very responsive host, and was kind and patient enough to answer my (various!) questions. And the location of this house is great - actual beach access with sand (not just rocks), and "protected" from the water level and erosion issues that have unfortunately impacted other houses on Lake Michigan. Plenty of beach towels and beach seating are provided. Propane grill and deck seating in 2 separate areas (2 different tables) is a great touch. Smart TVs make it easy to entertain the kids, if needed. I look forward to visiting again ASAP!

Relaxing and Fun!
We had a great week on Lake Michigan! The home has everything you could need and was so comfortable, quiet and peaceful! The sunsets were amazing. We loved all the fun water toys they had (kayaks, paddle boards, boogie boards, skim boards and foam pad). It was also located right between Grand Haven and Holland so there was plenty of stuff to do nearby. We had a great time! My only critique is to sharpen the knives. We fished and they had plenty of knives, but they were dull and it was very hard to filet our catch. Hubby will add a knife to his fishing gear. We are beginners at fishing but are completely hooked after fishing during our stay!

Family Vacation July 2022
We loved our stay at the house in Port Sheldon/West Olive. The property was just as described in the listing. Easy access to our own private beach with beautiful sunsets every night. Beach frontage was large and plenty of room for our canopy, chairs and beach games. The amenities were great with everything from bath & beach towels to the kayaks and paddle boards. The location was great with easy drives into Holland and Grand Haven.....both great beach towns with lots of shopping and restaurants. A nice welcome basket and note from Cynthia was waiting for us when we arrived, and communication with Cynthia was easy and quick throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again and are thinking about booking the house sometime next summer. Nice neighbors on both sides too. We had a great time!

Stunning view of lake Michigan
It is our first time to rent a house at west Michigan, so I don't have a comparison, but I believe the house has one of the best views of Lake Michigan (and the sunset!) Our 2 years old loved the beach a lot and played almost every days and evenings. Upon our request, our host Cynthia was so nice to place a full size crib in the smaller bedroom, so my son did not have to adjust to a toddler bed during vacation time. We also like the two large trees in the back yard where we set up our hammock towards the beautiful view of the lake. The weather was a little less warm than we thought, but we are grateful to be offered a late checkout (until sunset) the last day when the temperature finally bounced back. Highly recommended!
