"The property itself was wonderful. We had a lovely room at the top of the building. Furnishings and cleanliness were excellent. 2 drawbacks- if you were elderly, or not in the best of shape, carrying cases to the top floor would be a difficult task. Unfortunately, we arrived in 29 degree heat, and the room was extremely hot!!!! Great walking distance to Oxford city centre!"

"Very helpful staff kindly helped us get to our gig asap by calling taxi as we had hit horrendous traffic and our propsed lift couldn't make it. Four poster r bed was enormois and sooo comfortable.Decent breakfast Really simple check in/ out process Recommended."

"A really calm, peaceful place with the unusual benefit of a microwave and fridge in the good-sized room. Because of its position on a main road, getting into and out of the parking area sometimes requires patience, particularly if someone is coming out of the car-parking just as you're trying to turn into it, but that was a minor issue. "

"Arrived mid afternoon and was welcomed by a couple of friendly staff. The Dining area was nicely set up and the place was nice and pleasant and clean. I then enquired about evening meal only to be told they did not do food except breakfast and there was no bar. This is not what is advertised on hotels.com so please be aware of this when booking. The bedroom was small but clean and pleasant with an average shower. There was plenty of tea/coffee facilities and water plus a fridge & microwave in...

"Spotlessly clean - friendly and welcoming hosts - desk fan helped to cool things down and feel more comfortable (open windows were good, too) - small fridge was a handy feature. Highly recommended."

"If you like old and quirky then this place is ideal! Yes it’s a little tired and could do with a little tlc in places but the bed was comfortable (which for me is a huge plus). It’s in a very convenient location for walking around town. Plenty of cafes etc nearby as well as Sainsbury’s and Co-Op. "

"We left the property as everything about the room was unsatisfactory. The landlord was rude, the room smelled long-term unclean, the bed was lumpy, the bedlinen was mismatched and unironed...wasn't sure it was clean. The landlord, David, said he had recently taken it over and had no details from Expedia of who was booked in. He had taken my payment over the phone and declined to give a refund when we declined to stay!"

The location of the property is in easy walking distance from the train station, a car rental store and also the amazing Oxford city centre. "
