"Overall, the accommodation was lovely – not five-star luxury that we’d expected for the price, but we had a lovely trip away. Fridge is very noisy which resulted in a restless sleep on both nights. "A great welcome, very friendly, lovely, comfy, spacious room. Mouth watering meals and great choice of drinks. Although we had a lovely Valentine meal, we were in the public bar, next to the bar which was a bit noisy, table in the restaurant would have been preferred for a bit more privacy. "The accommodation was amazing, for a self catering establishment, it is very well equipped, lovely island in the kitchen with oven and hob, plenty of space to eat. The lounge area was very comfortable, with big screen TV, both bedrooms had comfortable double beds, upstairs en-suite downstairs separate bathroom. Plenty of parking and for those who wish to eat out, the pub across the road has a great selection at reasonable prices. "

"My husband and I went for a short weekend to walk around the area….upon arrival we were greeted by Alison and made very welcome and a lovely cup of tea. "This is a special place, beautiful grounds, where you can walk freely walk. Our daughter had the opportunity to feed the Alpacas and sheep, which was very special. The accommodation is fantastic, we stayed in the Stables, which has a conservatory, it mkes all the difference to open these doors to the garden at the back. "The house and location was just perfect for a family ranging in age from 5 to 66. Plenty of room for everyone. The house has everything you need. We spent Christmas here and didn’t want for anything . Warm, comfortable and homely.Good communication with host. We will definitely be back. "

"This is a really nice old fashioned pub style accomodation but has a really good chef and therefore very good food. Slightly above the average price but well worth it. However there are other local options for dining. The room overlooked the bay and you could see surfers in the distance along with the small harbour. The famous Lynton to Lynmouth railway is just round the corner and well worth a trip for the spectacular views. Will definitely go back at some point."

"Absolutely fabulous stay at this hotel. Super dog friendly, amazing sea views from our room and really friendly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend. We already knew there wasn't a restaurant service, but lovely places to eat really close by. The room we had was huge with a big tv and great shower. The bed was big and super comfy. If i had to be picky, the carpet could do with an update as although clean and no smells was a bit stained, and it was too hot for me in the room (56). I would love to stay there again (so would my dog and partner 😀)"

Good location, great hosts, delicious breakfast

"Great, short stay at The Quay. Room was cosy and had all we needed, plus a sea view. It was clean, quiet and we had a great night sleep. Owners/staff were very polite on arrival, breakfast (which was delicious) and departure. Good location within a very short walk from the high street, bars etc but far enough away to be quiet. Would stay again. Thanks!"
