His friendly affect and many small touches made this one of the best home-bases for me in my decades of solo retreats. Secluded, woodsy with beautiful A-Frame design but 10 minutes to either Woodstock or Saugerties. Great cooking kitchen, treadmill, great sound and entertainment or quiet nooks for writing and reading. Good heat and warm floors. Bathtub....

"This was a perfect weekend getaway, although we wish we could have stayed longer! It was exactly what we were looking for-very cozy, simple and gorgeous views. The hot tub was amazing and our host was very helpful. We drove about 45 minutes to an amazing brewery-West Kill Brewery and would highly recommend. "

"We stayed for Christmas and really enjoyed this home . The owner allowed us to put up a Christmas tree which was important to us and our kids . The house has everything you need . Lots of games, an awesome sled riding hill and playground . We all had a great time ! "

"I stayed several days in October. The cabin was cozy, clean and just as described. My ducks loved the pond and the little waterfall. The other cabin was a bit close so next time I will rent both and have my family come up with me. You could hear the noise from the road even though it was not that close nor could you see it. Thank you for sharing your home with us. "

"Went on an upstate retreat with some friends and our partners - 8 people total. The rooms were lovely and the kitchen was fully furnished. They even provided a little s’mores kit in the fridge (although we only ended up using the marshmallows for hot chocolate). We didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub but it seemed well maintained and clean. Fireplace came stocked with plenty of wood. 10/10 would rebook if the opportunity ever came!"

"Most relaxing, the property well situated amongst trees and woods. Plenty of clearing to enjoy the grounds for playing around. Our pitbull absolutely enjoyed the wandering and wooded areas. Local neighbors were very friendly. Many deer on the property every evening they would be out just after dark. Lots of games to keep you busy, WiFi worked great. The cabin was perfect, just bring your food and snacks. Everything else is there."
