"We stayed in the Gallery House this past weekend for two nights and had a fantastic visit. Close enough to the city that bad weather would not have stopped us from getting there, far enough away from the city that it was very quiet and we could hear the ocean waves on the rocks and see all the beautiful stars. "Halifax was a beautiful destination. Lots to see and do. Took car trips up the Atlantic coast and saw quaint fishing villages, and towns that suffered through different maritime disasters. It was nice to have an accommodation that we could use as a hub for all our adventures. Museums were informative and plentiful. All in all we had a wonderful trip. "

"It was a great spot"

"Our stay wasn't bad, I only have two complaints: It was a bit chilly in the basement And the volume on the tv didn't turn up, i had to read the subtitles because i couldn't hear it. The host was very easy to get ahold of, he responded right away when i messaged him. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, bus stop very close."

"We loved staying here. The unit is located right at the ocean’s edge, with a view out the kitchen window of an active fishing harbour. It was fantastic. The host was brilliant, in every way: welcoming and quick to respond to questions. We would happily stay again, and recommend it strongly."

"My husband and I traveled from Victoria to meet up with relatives from the U.K to explore Atlantic Canada. We found Paulette and her accommodations a great place to start our adventures. Centrally located we were able to walk to many local attractions, including Halifax Harbour. Place worked out great for the five of us and definitely would stay again. "The place we stayed was a little bit away from the convenience. It was too far for walking since bus stop was distantly away. Fortunately we got rides and didn't need bus transportation. Overall the place met our satisfaction since it was in a quiet area and we only stayed for few hours for sleeping each day. "
