Your feel-good home is right at the beginning of the pedestrian zone in the historic old town, which with its charming half-timbered houses and cozy streets is not only worth seeing, but also extremely attractive. City tours, museums and excursions to the Harz National Park - Wernigerode offers the ideal mix of culture and nature when it comes to taking a break from everyday life. Recommended are, among other things, a tour of the town hall or participation in a brewery tour. A wide range of restaurants and various shops and small shops also provide variety. Highlights included: WiFi, all consumption-based energy costs, laundry package, 1 parking lot, activities nearby: Visit the town hall with the historic market square and fountain in Wernigerode. A must-see: the castle in Wernigerode - it can be reached on foot, by horse-drawn carriage or with the tourist train. Incidentally, the Harz Holiday Ticket entitles you to free use of public transport in the Harz district on the HVB, Q-Bus, HBB, HVG and VGS lines. Of course, a visit to the Brocken should not be missed either, which at 1,141 meters is the highest mountain in the Harz Mountains. On a clear day you have a fantastic all-round view from here. Hauptproblem: Wir reisten am Sonntagabend an und kamen nicht in das Haus, wo sich die Ferienwohnung befand. Unser Code, der uns zugeschickt worden war, stimmte nicht. Nach einigen Versuchen war die Batterie im Codekästchen so schwach, dass ein anderer Feriengast, der uns helfen wollte (er kam ganz zufällig heraus, als wir noch probierten), auch nicht mehr mit seinem richtigen Code reinkam. Unter der 24/7 Notfallnummer von Bellvilla meldete sich ein AB mit Geschäftszeiten, unter der Nummer des Ansprechpartners Vorort, die auch an der Tür stand, meldete sich ein AB, der, wie sich später herausstellte, bis zum nächsten Morgen nicht angehört worden war. Die Frau vom Feriengast, die durch Zufall noch oben war, rettete die Situation und ließ uns rein. Danach klemmten wir die Tür auf. Am nächsten Vormittag würde jemand erreicht und die Batterie ausgewechselt. Unser Code war immernoch falsch, wir kamen wieder nicht rein, erreichten aber immerhin jemanden unter der Nummer Vorort, der uns den richtigen Code sagen könnte. Im Vergleich dazu waren die anderen Mängel Kleinigkeiten: Das Internet funktionierte zunächst nicht, das Problem wurde aber, nach einem Anruf, taggleich behoben. Die Dusche war unzuverlässig und würde mal warm und mal nicht. Davon abgesehen lag die Wohnung super zentral, war groß und schön und gut ausgestattet, sauber. Alles, wie im Angebot. Wären wir am Anfang auf Anhieb in die Wohnung gekommen, wären wir zufrieden gewesen.
