"Fantastic place. Not fancy, but clean, friendly and just a great stay! Restaurant closed Mondays, but a nearby restaurant "Klippe" took care of us:-) after dark, we had to figure out to use the side door with our key card, but got it to work. Breakfast was great, staff amazing. Ate at restaurant the next day and it was fabulous! Also- the 'conference room' area has an honorary system: take a snack, beer or wine and deposit some cash into a little piggy bank! Love it!!!!"

"Staff was very helpful with our late check-in. We forgot that we would be needing a late check-in. They called us and gave instructions for where to find the key after hours. Room was pretty nice and breakfast was great. On-site parking was a plus. We had a nice stay."

"Clean, spacious room with amazing view up the street and Werningerode Schloss so very close upon the hill. V good breakfast and a lovely small sauna you can reserve a time for private use. We appreciated a break from the larger city hotels in Hamburg and Berlin to stay in a small cozy bnb style environment. You can step right out the door to shopping and food. The staff was v sweet and we wished we had more time here. Highly recommend! "

"Zentral gelegen,kein hauseeigener parkplatz,ideal für kurzulaub,günstiger preis,kein föhn,frühstücksauswahl beschränkt,abendessen hausmannskost,nahe gelegene orte mit bus,auto gut erreichbar.zimmer nach hinten raus ruhiger,große cafe und restaurantauswahl in der nähe.hotel hat fahrstuhl.fazit:wer auf luxus verzichten kann ,kann hier nette tage verbringen."

"Our room was huge, way bigger than we needed. Check in was a bit difficult. At first the code she gave me to get my key didn't work and then she didn't explain that I needed to go to the room on the side of the building. There is a deep tub but no Sauna even though they advertise one as an amenity so that was disappointing but they're doing construction behind the building so that could be why. The parking lot was full when we arrived which was a pain but the street parking is free. "

"Pension Barbara is a very cosy and clean pension right next to the paths leading up to The Brocken. The hostess was very sweet and attentive, and we had a good stay. Schierke as a town is a bit dated and quiet in the autumn, when we visited. Is was difficulty to find a place to just have a couple of drinks etc. The national park, Brocken and paths are all excellent for a short hiking-holiday. Great nature, chalenging paths (if you want it), nice restaurant on the summit."

"Andet end tennis er squash og keglebanen slidt. Der mangler i den grad en opgradering af faciliteterne som har stået stille siden 90`erne. Maden i restauranten er god og mættende men ikke med en wow oplevelsen."
