This is a convenient place to stay for the Grand Canyon. We just stayed one night as we were passing through for the day. They have a nice path cut through the property to take a walk.
This was the second time staying here. The location is perfect, right next to Rails to Trails and Wellsboro. The weather didn’t cooperate so we spent time relaxing.
We really enjoyed our stay. Felt like a home away from home. Clean, quite, and comfortable. In a wonderful location to enjoy many local attractions. Highly recommend!
Loved the location of the property. Its right off the Pine Creek Trail for bike riding. It is also very close to the PA Grand Canyon and the town of Wellsboro. We had a great time.
House was nice for our purposes which was hiking and biking. The location directly across the street from the rail trail was a plus for us. The little entry was ideal for storing our bikes overnight. Also liked the close location to restaurants in Wellsboro. It was a great stay.
This is our 2nd time booking at this location. We love the area and it's a great location for us being close to PA Grand Canyon, Wellsboro and New York is a very short jaunt away. We love that we can take our dog and she feels comfortable and at home here. Every stay we feel welcomed and we cannot wait to go back. Thank you again for a great weekend!!!
We had a great time staying at this property. I felt like the listing was a little misleading when it comes to the "privacy" of the acreage, but the area was beautiful and we didn't even know the neighbors were there until they came to help us with the grill. Overall we had a wonderful time and I would stay again.
We had such a great time that we already booked our 2nd stay. This little gem is perfect for us and close to everything with the rail trail right across the street. Home was very clean and had all of the amenities that we needed. Loved walking outside the door with the pups and we were able to walk for miles. This place did not disappoint and we cannot wait to go back, we love the area. Thank you for making our stay effortless.
We enjoyed the rental. It was the perfect location close to the Pine Creek Rail Trail. Easy access to ride bikes without driving to the trail. The rental was clean and as advertised and had everything we needed. We were able to store our bikes in the locked mud room. It was also a short distance from local restaurants and from Wellsboro.
The place was clean, well maintained overall. In most corners were spiders and their webs. I think the place could have been cleaned /dusted/ vacuumed thoroughly prior to making it available. With all of that being said. We really only noticed because the rain forced us to stay inside all day Saturday, when our intentions were to hike, bike and explore.
All was well with house! Hiking trail was flooded at one end and the other end did not look recently maintained so we did not hike it. Neighbors had some “colorful” language but kept to themselves. Nice place.

The property was great, exactly what we needed!
This place was great! We will absolutely be coming back. Only two minor points were there were only 3 towels and the Wii wasn't reading most of the discs... And they are not kidding, there is nothing for cell service/internet so plan accordingly!

Basic upgrades needed
This was a last minute reservation because of the hurricane that canceled our NC trip. Here is what we experienced. The gas range and refrigerator were rusty and need to be replaced. No ice maker and black mold in the fridge. One of the gas burners would not self ignite. The baking pan I used was covered in grease and had been put away dirty. There is no dishwasher and the owner did not recommended drinking the water which is from a well. Black mold in the shower. The bathroom /laundry room had an unpleasant order. The window AC unit grills were covered in dust. In my opinion this rental does not meet minimum expectations of renters.

Close to the gorge, not so private
Had a nice stay with my family. Cabin was mostly as described and more than adequate for our needs. My review probably wouldn’t have any negative tones to it had the property been described better. While there are “private acres “, the cabin is on the road between other properties. It didn’t look or feel very private. Otherwise, the price was right and most everything was clean and in good working order.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
It was not private at all houses all around cars racing up and down the street constantly. The smell in the house was overbearing I guess to cover all the urine stains all over the carpet. Grills out back didn't work. Had to wipe down outside table, chairs and deck. Shower curtains disgusting.Mix match garage sale decorations and linens not cozy at all. Didn't want to sit on the so called couches covered with stains and dog hair.

Life is a Good at this adorable, perfectly located cottage
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is centrally located off the main road and close to all attractions/adventures. The trail was less than 3 Min walking to get to. Sunset walks were absolutely breath taking with the picturesque mountains framing the orange glow! Pine Creek access is roughly 5-10 Min driving distance for kayak and canoe adventures. The Canyon trails are also nearby with more of a drive to the peak, if you wish to start from the top. Wellsboro and the adorable Main Street offers an array of shops and some yummy restaraunts and pubs. The Country Club and Driving range were also within 10 Min drive if you enjoy golf! Lovely course and well kept range!
The cottage was perfect and quant. This is all you need for a getaway in the mountains. The inside was well kept and ready for our arrival. I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable the king bed was. The cottage is on well water but to be honest I didn’t notice anything different about it. We showered and washed clothes and all was fine. Just be sure to buy bottled drinking water.
The hosts were very attentive and timely. We had 1 very small issue that they attended to within an hour or two of being notified.
If you are looking for some peace and quiet surrounded by beautiful mountains and gorgeous trails, this is your spot!
We were in town for the Green Monster 50k and the house was about a mile from the start so it was perfect! It was also close to Wellsboro, and the entire area was gorgeous! Thank you for hosting us! Next time we'll have to stay an extra day so we can spend more time checking out the property!
