This little cabin was the perfect size for our couple’s getaway! Though the interior wooden walls suggested “rustic”, the beautiful modern kitchen and bathroom belied that idea, as well as the new build with tight walls and windows… not a hint of a draft! We used the mini split heat pump to take the chill off the main room, and occasionally used the electric baseboard heat in the bedroom and bath. Once the rooms warmed, they easily stayed warm.
The cabin was quite far off the road, and so the traffic noise was light. One day, my husband and I walked (so conveniently!) just across the road to the outfitters where we rented bikes for a couple of hours, and biked on the rail trail which runs along the creek in the canyon area. It was a beautiful ride and one of the highlights of our retreat. We visited both state parks on either side of the canyon, and those two trips took about 20 minutes each from the cabin.
We were wishing for an end table or coffee table by the sofa, though. As we enjoyed our coffee and tea in the morning, reading or gazing out the window to the beautiful hills, it would have been nice to have a place to set the cups down and place our books.
This cabin was a perfect place for our adventures, and we highly recommend it!
