"Great comfortable hotel above a fab pub with a great beer list"

"Can't fault the service, the breakfast was great, the staff friendly and they even did us pizza as we was running very late and missed dinner. The room was okay, only negative was the bed was small and you couldn't stand to shower, had to sit in the bath and hold the shower head, but it was fine."

"Fantastic very for money. Very attentive staff and the room had everything I needed for the stay. Bed was comfy and room was very spacious and perfect for working on my laptop. Parking was great and the meal and drinks in the bar were top class. Would highly recommend."

"Great location for exploring the area, namely Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole. Based very near to Wells, nice place to visit and quite a few options for dining. Host was nice and very accommodating, room was lovely and had everything you’d need. "

"Nothing I didn't like! It was a most happy stay, Peter and Veryan are a delightful couple and excellent hosts. All the staff are helpful and cheerful. The lounge bar with it's beautiful open log fire is a truly comforting place to sit. I would definitely go back and recommend it to others."

"Double Gate Farm is ... A Find. Quiet, relaxed and comfortable with excellent attention to detail. In the room we found REAL COFFEE with a Cafetiere, a fridge for our own items should we need it (even some so-called major hotel groups don't provide one). The room was super-clean, airy with huge sliding doors giving onto a terrace and river, field and sky view. With good outdoor furniture to relax in. If privacy from the next-door neighbour is needed, then a screen can be pulled across giving...

"Generally a good stay - the apartment is a good size and very comfortable! Lots of good amenities within a couple of minutes walk from the apartment. Only down side is that the corridors and doors are noisy (You can hear people talking loudly in other apartments down the hall!) so bring ear plugs, and a street light was fixed directly outside the window, and the apartment didn't have blackout blinds so the room was light all night."

"The apartment is beautifully decorated and of a high standard. The location was perfect for us - lots of shops and restaurants nearby as well as attractions. Bud and train station are also convenient although we didn’t use them. Paid parking lot is right across the street. Overall we loved it here !"

Very nice hotel

"Lovely stay in the Bristol Clayton hotel. We were initially given a small triple room, when we were expecting a double room. The lovely staff very happily sorted it out for us, and we had a very comfortable stay. Great location for exploring Bristol. Can recommend the Belgian bar opposite, the strawberry thief! "
