Enjoyed our stay. Cabin had more than enough room for us. Cabin was supplied with almost everything we needed. We forgot a lighter for the fire pit & grill & did not find one in cabin. There was a Dollar General store close which was convenient.
Easy place to go for the weekend when you plan on being at the lake and just hanging out with friends or family and having a little escape that is budget friendly.
The cabin is beautiful and in a lovely location. The screened-in porches were especially nice. It is not a 2-bedroom, however. That's explained in the description, but it really should be listed as a 1-bedroom property.
We enjoyed our stay here. Close to Moorehead so easy access to grocery, walmart and restaurants. Plus lots of great hikes near by.
It was about an hour from the ref river gorge underground kayaking
My family spent a long weekend away before we move yet again with the military. The area was absolutely breathtaking. The cabin was all we needed and more. There was nothing we needed as everything was provided. Thanks for a great stay.
Very clean place and everything works good! Nice area with friendly neighbors great area to hangout in nature. There was a bad storm on Sunday afternoon where the power went out for a few hours and we decided to leave early in case the power was off until next day. Overall good experience and would recommend to others
We had a good stay. The cabin was nice. We enjoyed the firepit. The location wasn't what I expected, a bit noisy with kids riding 4-wheelers.But it was ok. Could have just been temporary neighbors spending the weekend like us.
Overall it suited our purpose.
We absolutely loved our stay! The screened in porch was a huge hit for my two year old! It was nice for him to be able to play and get some fresh air without have to worry about him running off. Overall a nice and cozy cabin! Would def recommend!!
The entire process from rental to checkout was wonderful. Owner/caretaker even checked the trash after we left because I thought we had accidentally put a bag of laundry in the trash can. Very accommodating and peaceful stay!
This was our first time renting through VRBO, and it could not have gone better. Beautiful place, clean, easy directions to follow for the entire experience. Would absolutely do again.
The stay was good, i only have two suggestions and that would be to have a fan or some kind of cooling source in the living room to help cool the down stairs a little quicker, second thing would be to clean a little better in the shower..Overall our stay was great there were lots of extra amenities thats definitely made the experience very at home like, we would definitely rent this cabin again
Super easy to work with and very accommodating! A BIG thanks for making our stay an enjoyable experience. We have a large family of 7 and had plenty of space...which is not the usual case.
We were hoping for an outdoorsy weekend, but weather had other plans. Still, This was a fun property to hide away from the cold rain. The screened in porch was a perfect place for coffee breaks and card games!
Owner was very responsive and friendly
The cabin had the perfect “My Old Kentucky Home” feel. Pleasantly Rustic with modern amenities. We could not have asked for a better place to get away and unwind. The property owner is very kind and easy to communicate with. Thank you so much for sharing you cabin with us. :)
I want to start off by saying the owners are truly amazing! They gave us lots of advice on things around the area. Very friendly got back with me quickly super good to us! Home was very nice and clean! Love the location and neighborhood! Everything you would want in a little getaway, very nice screened in porch to relax on nice fire pit to sit at and have family time, close to the lake couldn’t ask for much more! My family really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend! Gets five stars from us!
I went with my roommates on our spring break and we all agreed to find somewhere relatively close to good hiking. This place delivered. The only struggle was that the nearest grocery store is 20 mins away. Besides that the check-in and everything else was easy and as advertised. I would offer my recommendation for anyone interested in hiking.

Worked well for fsmily
There were 5 adults and 2 kids for our stay and it worked out well. Although the property lists 2 bedrooms, it is really just one large room that takes up the entire second floor. So make sure you’re comfortable sleeping near who you’re staying with. We loved hanging out on the large screened in porch, especially since it rained a lot. Not too far from The Gorge Underground and Natural Bridge Park (little less than an hour.) Overall, we had a good time.
Very cozy & family oriented. Could not of had a better place to wake up to & cook Thanksgiving dinner for my family. I absolutely loved cooking in the kitchen & sitting at the table with the fire going. Funniest time was our last night. The neighbor decided to blow his leaves at midnight as we just layed down for bed. And we all just laughed & laughed trying to figure out "who blows their leaves at midnight " instead of getting upset we all laughed. I even took a video of the noise of the blower just so i could share. I have family in Morehead so this will be perfect when i visit again. Thank you again for the hospitality. Absolutely a great family time & i will be comming back in the future!
This cabin was perfect for our family. It was clean and cute. All of the beds were together on the second floor. It was one big open space and my husband and I were on one side and my kids were on a bunk bed on the opposite end. Which I liked a lot because I’m always worried about my kids in an unfamiliar place. I have no negative comments to leave only one small suggestion. There were only 2 small mirrors over the sinks in the bathrooms. Maybe a full size mirror somewhere in the cabin would be helpful. I know I’m not the only woman who likes to see her entire outfit before heading out. :)
We will be back.
