"The cabin is modern, cozy, and comfortable. We happened to be there on a day that broke heat records for the area and the house remained quite cool. The house was perfect for 4 adults and 1 toddler to relax and recreate together and apart. The river is gorgeous and you really can hear it from almost every part of the cabin. Only advice: bring ice the first day because the fridge icemaker takes about 24 hours to get going. Such a lovely getaway from the concrete jungle!!"

"Comfortable cabin, close to lots of fishing. We had a great time. With no contact at the property, we weren’t too sure how to check in and check out. Once I found a phone number, the lady (check in) and gentleman (check out) made it easier."

"One of the great features of staying at a VRBO is the experience is more like staying at home rather than the impersonal feeling of a motel. The Desert Bungalow in Smith Valley is the perfect home-stay. Everything about the house was done with a lot of thought and consideration by the owners. "we booked this room as we needed an overnight stay during a road trip. the room was nice and the location worked out great for the trip. the toilet bowl a noticeable smell. and there was no hot water. since we arrived pretty late we were hoping we can shower in the morning and leave but the water was freezing. we could barely wash our faces. there were no instructions as to how to turn the water heater on (assuming there was one) and we were in a rush so we couldn't wait for an answer."

"My husband and I stayed here for his 60th bday. We enjoyed our two night stay. It a pretty place and the hot springs/tubs were an added benefit. Be careful though and test the temperature of the water before rushing in, as one of the pools was scalding hot. All the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. We would stay here again. "
