"We had a wonderful day! Five stars! Rachel and Uli are naturally hospitable. They welcomed us upon arrival, she made homemade muffins for us, brought us champagne on New Year’s Eve, and followed up to make sure we arrived home safely. Uli even made a thumb-drive of common interests music for my husband. Lovely people! The mattress is the best! We slept so well. The house is surrounded gorgeous farmland and I watched their horses, including a miniature horse, many a morning. It was a delight! The kitchen is fully stocked. I’ve never seen so many coffee making options in a VRBO. There was a Keurig (with pods), another pod machine (name-?), a French press, Bialetti stovetop espresso maker, electric kettle, traditional coffee maker, etc. We appreciated how pet-friendly Rachel and Uli are! Grateful for lovely hosts and a beautiful pet-friendly farmhouse! "

"This property is off the beaten path and is a great escape from the tourist-y hustle and bustle. It is pet friendly, but keep an eye on your furry friend as sometimes the neighbors aren’t responsible for their large dogs, but otherwise this place is PERFECT! "

Our family enjoyed puzzles and games during the day and the grill and fire pit on the cool nights. " I gave this rental at Sunrise Cottage a 5 star rating for many reasons. Not because it is a modern, fully updated and a pristine property, but because it afforded everything we needed, we felt comfortable and were able to settle in nicely for 7 nights. The kitchen was fully equipped, for our needs. The cupboards and contents reminded me of camping with my parents. Various miss matched items, but everything that was necessary to get things done, except a bottle opener for pouring from a can, my husband drinks tomato juice like water and we forgot our opener. He figured it out. We were grateful for the large stock pot that we boiled our 42 crabs, caught over 3 separate 12 to 24 hour soaks, using 2 or 3 traps. We caught way more but the smalls were put back. We froze several pounds and they made a safe dry ice trek back home. We highly recommend giving crabbing a try here, it was our first attempt and would return here just for crabbing. We are hooked and I don't even eat it, hubby loves! Watch the tides, we almost killed several in a super low tide that occured early one morning. They survived to be boiled. For bait we used chicken necks, frozen pogy fish and fresh caught small mullet and croakers. The fresh cut up fish worked best! We had little luck fishing, it was mid November which I think had lots to do with our lack of connection. We caught over 200 fish in a prior 7 day vacation so we know how, this just wasn't the time for us. I caught an Atlantic Sting"

"We’ve been staying in the area for 15 years, have tried hotels and condos, but this was by far the best property and location. It is so peaceful, yet minutes from Fairhope. The Loft is spacious and very comfortable. Communication with Michael was excellent, he was very attentive but not intrusive. We suggested adding a cool box and kettle and they were delivered the following morning. Can’t wait to come back."
