Chestnut Lodge, near Asheville, NC, sits in a quiet wooded area of Weaverville.

Chestnut Cabin is one of only 3 cabins onsite, with plenty of space to accommodate up to 16 people. (The base rate covers up to 10 guests. Each additional guest is $25/night.) We accommodate many wedding party guests, youth groups and family reunions. We allow up to 2 well-behaved dogs, but ask that they not be allowed on the furniture or beds.

EVENTS: Our insurance does not cover events held at the cabins, nor is our parking
usually adequate for parties including folks who are not Cedar Creek guests. Therefore,

that includes significant numbers of people who are not cabin guests, are not permitted.

Great homey cabin
Some friends and I were in Asheville for Labor Day weekend and stayed at this beautiful cabin. It was in a great location with an even better mountain feel. I would absolutely stay here again if in the area!

Perfect for what we needed
My company is Walker Woodworking in Shelby, NC. We were installing cabinetry in a large residence in the area and instead of driving back and forth each day, I utilized this property. My guys, very professional guys, really enjoyed staying there instead of hotel rooms. They were able to grill out in the evening, and enjoyed sitting on the porch.

Fantastic property in a wonderful setting
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was well-equipped and the size was perfect for our group of 8. We wanted to be near Asheville and were so glad we picked charming Weaverville. It was very quick and easy to get to places we wanted to go in and around Asheville and we loved coming back to the quiet tree-lined neighborhood. We loved everything about the house and location and will recommend it to friends and family.

Phenomenal Space, Walkable yet Secluded, Great for Friend Groups
This place could not have been more perfect for our group. We were in town for my partner’s 30th birthday with friends and we really enjoyed how the group could spread out in the space (9 total). The kitchen had everything we needed to cook full meals. The porch was awesome. I was delightfully surprised at the entertainment options in Weaverville that we could walk to in 10 mins. When we went into downtown Asheville, Ubers were easy to call- they take 15-20 mins to arrive, which was totally fine, we just built that into our plans! The space truly made the trip for our group, and it was everything described in the listing/pictures and more. The host was very responsive to small questions we had during our stay as well. I’d go back to NC just to stay at this house.

Great for large family getaway
This cabin was tucked into the woods on a steep hill, giving us the feel of a secluded mountain getaway. But just a short 5 minute walk and we were in the cute downtown Weaverville, where there are several coffee shops and restaurants. Just a 20 minute drive from Asheville. The house was spacious and comfortable with everything we needed for our large family. Highly recommended!

Perfect long weekend
My family and friends wanted to go snow tubing. This property was the only one we could find just a few weeks ahead of our stay. IT WAS PERFECT. It had a very clean/neutral smell, which is very important to me! The whole house was neat and clean. The beds were comfortable and the bedroom lay out worked great for the children to all sleep downstairs and all the adults upstairs. It was very close to local restaurants (be sure to try the Twisted Laurel). I would 100% stay here again.

We needed a big place and it satisfied all our needs. Very short walk to Weaverville main street. Short drive for supplies. Being able to have a nice fire in the evening was great. They make sure you have enough wood! Deposit returned with no hassle . Downtown Asheville a 20-30 min. Drive. I would definitely rent again and for more space there are two more cabins right there. Thanks y'all for such a wonderful stay.

This home was very charming and spacious. The kitchen had the comforts of home for cooking and dining. The porch is a beautiful way enjoy your morning coffee or read a book. There are 2 TVs in the home for watching your favorite sports ( the TV's could use an upgrade) You have to enter in the home on the bottom floor. The main living space is upstairs including the master bedroom and 2 additional rooms. This can be a problem for people who do not have the ability to walk up and down stairs. Overall.... This was a very nice home. It's very close to shopping, food, Ashville and the Biltmore.

Nice cozy home away from home
Me a six other friends rented this property as a weekend getaway to celebrate my birthday. Overall we liked the property. It was close enough to Asheville and other attractions yet far enough away to be in a quiet area. There were only a couple of issues we had with the property. 1. The upstairs TV is inside of a entertainment center. Based on the placement of the center, and the placement of the couches, half the room could not see the screen. This wasn't too big of an issue because normally we would be out and about and would not even cut on the TV, but due to Covid, we were in the house more. 2. There were limited pots to use. There were basically two small pots (think about cooking one pack of ramen noodles), and a stock pot. There were a couple of casserole dishes and frying pans. We ended up buying measuring cups and spoons and a mixing bowl at the local store. We made do with what was there but a cabin that size should have proper cookware. 3. One of the activities we had planned for the trip was midnight margaritas. The blender is outdated. The blades were really dull and it took forever to make a decent blended margarita. 4. Please fix the ping pong table. Pros: 1. The fireplace downstairs was a nice added touch. 2. Having a Roku with online streaming apps was definitely a plus. Weird noticeable things: I don't know if you have a family connection to all the pictures in the house, for those pictures were creepy. It gave me a vibe like the house in The Haunting.
