'Dood's Ranch' is a fully renovated, quaint mountain cottage on a horse farm setting, apprx 1 mile from downtown Waynesville and all it has to offer. Long range views of Wolf Pen and Lickstone Mtns on front porch, and views of famous Eagle's Nest Mtn from the spacious side deck. This conveniently located 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house boasts a full kitchen, a comfortable living room w/cable and internet, and a master w/bath on main. Unfortunately, Dood's Ranch is not pet friendly.

Perfect cozy house
We loved this house. It was perfect for travelers who want to get to Waynesville, Asheville and the Smoky Mountains. Rooms are large and kitchen well equipped. The steps are a little steep but once you get in everything is just lovely. The owners were very reponsive and friendly. I highly recommend.

Overall this is an extra nice older home perfect for a vacation getaway. Very close to everything Waynesville has to offer. I would stay again if in the area for an extended period. Everything was as described except there was no gas grill. The charcoal Smokey Joe Weber worked fine for what we needed, but you might want to check if you will be grilling a major meal.

The house was great. The steps going into the house was a little bit of a challenge but so worth it. The house is so nice and located within 5 minutes of everything. We had a wonderful time. And it is exactly the way it shows you in the pictures.

We absolutely loved the property. The house was spacious yet cozy. Easy directions to the house and you are only 5 minutes from downtown but you felt like you were in the country. Definitely worth the drive from Florida. Will definitely come back. We also had a treat of hitting it at the right time for the leaves changing and saw snow!! We loved the whole experience.

Very nice property, well furnished. Love the porch and deck. I could not find any fire alarms in any room of the 2 story house. This is something I think the owner should address for the safety of future guests. All in all a 5 star property.

Pleasant stay with a caveat.
The house itself is very nice and clean, and overall my sisters and I enjoyed our stay. The caveat is, we are all in our 60s with various and sundry physical limitations. It's quite a haul walking up the sidewalk and the steps to the front porch with luggage if you have physical limitations. That being said, the inside staircase really wasn't a problem. The front porch and deck are very nice, but the views aren't quite as bucolic as the pictures would suggest. The owner is very nice and super responsive and the location is very convenient to everything in Waynesville.

Visit with our Ashville kids was disrupted by the hurricane. We booked in Waynesville because it had water!! Absolutely love the area! This home was the best equipped vrbo I have experienced! Very comfortable and relaxing stay!

This home is conveniently located to downtown Waynesville as well as Cataloochee ski resort (which was our main activity). We will be back when we visit Cataloochee again.
