"Checkin and checkout were easy, and it was a quiet, clean room. But the neighborhood felt sleazy, as did the checkin. Instead of hotel, the sign said motel, and it’s surrounded by other motels. The checkin had a love motel feel. I was handed my key when I told the lady my name through the tiny window and was told to use the elevator.
