It’s a nice small place. It’s just a bedroom and a bathroom with a mini fridge and coffee maker. It also has a nice deck for sitting outside if the weather permits. very short, walk into town, so if you’re looking not to drive and go out it’s perfect, the only negative visits almost straight, uphill on the way back .

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Room was nice , key pad didn’t light up/ had to figure it out in the dark .
The property was exactly as described in the listing. Very clean and easy access. All necessary amenities were provided. Very quiet and peaceful at night. Served very well as a place to rest at night. The host had great communication and quick to respomd with any questions
Directions and access were easily understood. I would recommend this place to stay.
We arrived late and couldn’t fine some somewhere else to stay until the next day. The smell and decor was definitely from the 1800s, along with our sheets with a hole in them! Cleanliness wasn’t good, carpet was dirty with some random hair, Dust and crumbs on the buffet. There is way to do antiques, this isn’t it. It’s a shame, this place could be nice if decorated and cleaned up. The worst was the yellow body fluids on the wall next to the toilet.
We enjoyed our weekend at this lovely home. It was very close to shops/pubs/and Watkins Glen State Park.
It was clean and quiet and comfy with a roomy lovely bathroom.
Our only issues were that there isn’t a sink for kitchenette area.. it did have a single use Keurig type coffee maker and a dorm size fridge which was fine for essentials.
Also no closet area with just 1 hook and 1 suitcase stand.
Would we go back? Yep. It was overall a lovely experience and the owner was able to be reached promptly if needed.
We had a nice stay for our anniversary. The definite perk is being a block or so from “downtown” Watkins Glen. In the spirit of transparency, this is a singular room with a private entrance and private bathroom. It worked out for us since we weren’t there much and just needed a place to sleep. But the “sitting area” is a small loveseat 1 foot from the bed and the “kitchenette” is a small fridge and microwave on top of the dresser. There is also no tv, which I realize is not listed in the amenities, but something we usually assume is included. Again, didn’t impact our stay much but we didn’t realize the layout from the description/pics (pics have changed since we rented and it does appear a bit more clear now). All that said, would stay again for the location alone!
This was our first Vrbo experience, so we didn't know what to expect. Watkins Glen turned out to be a delightful destination. Our accommodations in an old house above the town were better than expected. It was a fantastic location just a few blocks from downtown WG and a short hop to WG State Park. Pluses: location; comfortable bed; nice bathroom; host's tips; quiet. Minuses: top of fridge coated in dust; no TP upon arrival; no mention of a long set of stairs to the second floor (which would be very difficult for elderly or infirm guests to climb); only one hook for hanging clothes. We didn't know how much interaction with the host there should be - there was minimal contact. Overall, we were very satisfied. We like old houses, history, and nature. WG did not disappoint.
