Located right across the street from Lake Kampeska, enjoy easy access to multiple public lake and family beach areas, all within 1-3 miles.

*Idyllic Setting*: Watch horses graze in the picturesque pasture, take a walk through our private nature paths, or relax on the porch overlooking the pond & grounds. Enjoy watching wildlife meandering about from your window. Guests say that it feels like a hidden sanctuary here.
*Location*: Stable Waters offers the perfect balance of seclusion & convenience. Enjoy nearby restaurants, shops, & local attractions (either around Lake Kampeska or within a short drive into town), OR simply unwind in your own peaceful retreat.

For hunters, we are 5 miles from the nearest walk in game production area.
For fishermen, multiple lakes in the area are popular for fishing all year round. We have plenty of space for you to park your boat(s) & ice houses.
For horse owners, we have a 5 stall barn and can discuss horse boarding options and fees prior, pending availability. We have plenty of room for your trailer outside the barn. Whether you’re looking to unwind in nature, enjoy lake activities, or simply relax in a peaceful setting, our ranch house offers the perfect escape. Book now and experience the charm and tranquility of our picturesque retreat.
Guest Access: The entire house is yours with the exception of locked utility rooms/closets (this is where things like the sump pumps live. You’re not missing out on anything ;) ) Guests have access to the porches, patio & outdoor furniture and are welcome to use the grill for cooking.
While guest(s) are not permitted to enter the stable or pasture, or feed horses without permission from Host/Stable Waters management; if the horses come to the [non-electric] fence line, you are welcome to give them pets & love. If we are around tending to the property or caring for our own horses “Crow” & “Ramsey” - pending timing & availability, we love to invite guests over to see the barn & feed them a few treats.
We also have 3 cherished stable cats: “Peanut Butter”, “Alice”, & “Jefferson B Sherbert”. They happily reside in the barn and tack room, which we’ve made cozy just for them. “Peanut Butter”, in particular, enjoys exploring on nice days & is incredibly affectionate to all humans young & old. Feel free to love and pet them if you see them as well. If they ever become a bother or you have any concerns, please let us know. We’ll ensure they’re put safely back inside the barn (sometimes they accidentally get left out when a boarder visits their horse). Rest assured, we make sure they’re safe and snug in the barn at night and during bad weather.
Other things to Note:
SAFETY NOTE (POND, 3-SIDE OPEN FIREPLACE, EQUINE FACILITY ON PREMISES): Before booking, especially if you have small children, please note that the pond is 100 ft from the house, as well as a horse pasture partially fenced with electric fencing. Also take note of the 3-side open fireplace shared between the living room / great room & kitchen. If booking with young children, please take care to either not use the fireplace or maintain the utmost vigilance of their proximity & location as we recommend with all outdoor exploration on the property.
NON SMOKING house. A $300.00 charge will be assessed for non-compliance.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY – Maximum occupancy is 10 guests. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to rent the house. No additional guest are allowed in RV’s or campers. Prior approval of additional guests beyond listed occupancy must be secured by management in writing.
PETS – Up to 2 dogs are permitted with Pet Fee. Prior approval is required for more than 2 pets.
DAMAGES – Guests will be held financially responsible for any damages.
NO DAILY HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE – The house has a washer and dryer if you need to launder towels or bedding.
MAINTENANCE ISSUES – The owners live nearby, so maintenance problems in the house will be handled in a timely manner.
