"Nice hotel, looks new and updated compared to other hotels in Germany. Very friendly staff! Great drinks at the bar and good breakfast. My only complaint would be the small bathroom/shower but thats par for the course in Germany. Will definitely stay here again next year! "

"Wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden. Das Zimmer war gemütlich und sauber, mit TV und kostenlosem WLAN. Das Bad war ein wenig eng, aber ebenfalls sauber. Das angebotene Frühstück war nett hergerichtet und mehr als ausreichend. Es gab ein hervorragendes Abendessen (ebenfalls große Portionen) zu einem guten Preis. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber, denen das Wohl der Gäste am Herzen liegt. Von unserer Seite gibt es nichts zu beanstanden. Wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen. "

"For my last night on the road on the way to Frankfurt I thought I would stay at a traditional German pub/pensione and so this was it. When I arrived there was a sign on the door saying closed until the 1 March at 5.30pm. The whole place was shut up and chairs were on the tables inside the pub. "We booked to stay at Haus Saarland am Rennsteig. On arriving at the hotel we found it was closed and a notice telling us to go to another hotel, Hotel Thuringenschanze which was about 0.5km away. Since we had arrived by public transport we had to walk there with our luggage. On checking in at the new hotel we were not offered Oberhof guest cards. This meant that we were unable to obtain the guest card discount when we visited the nearby SkiHalle. We asked to stay an extra night. We paid...
