About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Welcome Washougal Motorcross! Less than 2 miles to Washougal MX Park!

This incredible custom home sits on nine acres that feels like your own private oasis. Inside you will find solid wood trim and doors, custom woodwork, and hickory floors. Outside you can relax on the large deck and enjoy the forest views, the small pond, and the sounds of multiple creeks that run through the property.

As you enter into the foyer, you are greeted with the oversized living area and wood fireplace that is completely bathed in natural light from all of the windows. Most every piece of décor in this house is new and was curated to offer you that perfect blend of style and comfort. On the same floor you will find the fully stocked kitchen and dining area that opens up on to the deck with ample seating for everyone as well as the custom fire-table to enjoy long into the evening.

For sleeping options the main floor does have a queen bed and full bathroom. As you ascend upstairs there are the other two spacious and wonderfully appointed bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed. There is a second full bath available as well.

One of the most popular features for sure is the detached game room. There you will find another huge TV for streaming, cozy gaming chairs, an arcade game, foosball, and some console game options. Its the perfect escape for kids or anyone looking for some fun and a wonderful amenity to be enjoyed anytime of the year.

We truly want you to enjoy your time and make some wonderful memories with your group. That being said, this is not a party or gathering house for groups that can't control their noise levels. We have relationships with all of our neighbors who have our direct contact information. Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please stay indoors during this time, keep the windows and doors closed and keep the volume to an enjoyable but reasonable level. If it is loud enough to be heard outside in these conditions, it is too loud for you to remain our guest. This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring the interior of the house.

Washougal Cabin
Lovely spot, beautiful surroundings. Some suggestions; it would be lovely to have had lawn chairs, and beach towels, considering the close access to the many lakes. A few more dish towels would’ve been appreciated, we did have to go and buy some. The propane tank was very low, and it took quite a long time to grill our food. The upstairs toilet took a while to refill the tank, which caused the toilet not to function appropriately. The detached game room seem to have an extremely musty odor, mold, perhaps? Given the strong odor it was considered unusable by our group. We very much appreciated having access to Netflix, the beds were very comfortable, the setting was idyllic and house was nicely furnished. Cornhole was fun! A wonderful stay overall.

Great stay
The house is really great, very comfortable for our family of 5 to spread out. Everything worked well, ice machine, tvs, kitchen appliances, laundry, internet. Game room was super cool! The kids loved the hammock and reading outside. House is in a great location where it's quiet, not too sunny and not too shady, and lots of room to spread out and play inside and out. The property management was amazingly communicative and helpful. Only major con was there was a pretty strong smell of pet pee on the carpets upstairs and down. Considerations: two A/C units which keep the downstairs really cool but the upstairs gets quite warm. We have trouble sleeping when the daylight comes in and there are skylights in each of the bedrooms upstairs. The bedroom downstairs (queen) has a barn style door.

Move to Washington
We were moving to the Vancouver WA area from St Louis, and needed a landing place to not only act as a "base" for looking around the area, but also as a nice place to get some downtime. Wow, we really hit it out of the park with The Flying Monkey Farm! It's a beautiful, secluded, quiet place and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Instructions for arrival and departure were excellent and communication with the property manager was always very responsive. It was just two of us on this trip, but I see no reason it couldn't support six people quite nicely. The place is a bit of a drive into the hills, but we didn't mind that. We hope to visit again someday!

Game room was the hit of a rainy trip
Was afraid that a rainy weekend was going to put a damper on plans. However, the game room was amazing. The foosball table was top notch and we were all pushing ourselves to get the high score on Galaga. Thanks for a great trip.

Spectacular
This place exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the lush and flourishing trees and greenery that surrounds the outdoors. This is a really nice and comfortable gem. It’s cleanliness and all the entertainment just made our stay even better. The kids adored the game room, we had family game board nights around the fire and enjoyed every minute of it. The home is nice and warm with a cozy touch of all the furniture and warm heaters throughout the home. We came at a really rainy and cold time, but had two of our 7 days nice and warm enough to explore the town. The owners were very nice and responded really well to our needs. It is highly likely we will be back. You will not be disappointed if you book this place. The only thing I will suggest, is if the wifi service was a tad bit better. There were times when we had a hard time getting the Netflix movies and Disney+ to play movies due to the internet strength being very weak. However, it didn’t stop us for enjoying our stay here. Thank you so much!

Just as promised.
Overall, this was a very nice prperty that delivered on its set expectations. The lodging was very clean and spacious. and the property very beautiful. The property management was very responsive to our requests. We encountered a strong thunderstorm during our stay that knocked out the power. The management company was easy to get a hold of and worked with us to keep us informed of repairs to the area. This property was very nice during Novemebr but I can imagine it is extremely beautiful during the more amicable months.

Halfway reunion!
We loved our stay at the Retreat at Flying Monkey Farm. It was a halfway point between Hawaii and New Jersey. We arrived in the middle of the night and it was easy to find and access only 30 minutes outside of Portland. The house was comfortable and clean. We loved spending nights around the fire pit or just sitting in the living room catching up with the complimentary bottle of wine from a local winery. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. We were a short ride from Columbia River Gorge and Hood River where we hiked and had lunch. The management company was incredibly responsive to any questions or concerns. We would certainly return. Our stay was short but with its location and area we left recharged and relaxed! My only problem is the fees on VRBO. After we booked and received confirmation I found the house on Marriott Vacation rentals for far less, but my cancellation window was closed.
