First of all let me say that for the price this is the best place to stay. The rooms are small it is a older hotel but the architecture and the location are absolutely fantastic. The dining around the area is wonderful transportation by Metro is fantastic had no problems whatsoever. Will definitely stay again.

A great place to stay, fare prices, considering the area. You can explore the tourists buildings and the night life by walking. Very clean space. Nice shower, but the bathroom exhaust fan was really loud and it couldn't be turn off if lights were on. The corredor had a exagherate smell of air freshner.

The hotel is centrally located. It's a small, no frills hotel but the room was perfectly fine and even had a pretty spacious bathroom. There is a certain "old vibe" charm to the hotel. The oddest part was having to lug my suitcase to the reception since there was no ramp down the stairs from the entrance, but there was an elevator to the floors.

This is a cool older hotel. It has some quirks, but lots of charm. One issue in the 7th floor bathroom: There's not a separate light from the noisy fan. It makes it difficult to listen to the TV news while you're getting ready in the morning. Small things. But the location is superb in downtown Washington. They also could use some complimentary coffee downstairs.

The property was uniquely designed, which I liked. Everyone I interacted with at the front desk was helpful and nice. The lobby area, elevators, halls, and my room were all cleaned very nicely. The property is very centrally located, with a Metro stop only a block away. I would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to DC!

We loved the charm of the building and the convenience of walking to all of the capital buildings. Bonus was that the Metro was a block away.
