Liked: Cleanliness, location
Disliked: Check-in, listing accuracy
Solid location- needs work
I really hate leaving a negative review, but it’s important to share the actual experience so that either corrections can be made, or future guests know what to expect. There were no instructions on how to access the place. It’s actually in the alley behind the address and you have to walk literally around the block to find it. Parking is not easy and is only for 3hours at a time and paid by meter. This is not described in the listing at all. The courtyard area outside the house is nice- but at night it is INFESTED with rats. Like dozens of them- everywhere outside. No signs of them inside though.Getting in there is a lock on the patio and then another on the door. The door lock includes no other security lock and seems very unsafe given the urban environment of the house. The house is very dated and needs a complete renovation. It is , however, very clean for the condition it’s in. There is a fair amount of clutter including random slide projectors and boxes in the living room. The water is hot and the shower has good pressure. The bed mattress and sheets are very cheap- mattress is uncomfortable and the sheets feel like paper. The towels are soft and smell very clean. There is no curtain on one of the windows in the bedroom and a neighboring patio area looks right into it. This is a major concern. The kitchen is dated and very bare bones. Fortunately the location is great and central to tons of food options.Overall this is a substandard short term rental
