Family friendly home perfect for larger groups located only 10 minutes by car to Washington DC or Arlington National Cemetery. Parking is free for one or multiple vehicles. You can walk to the brand new Potomac Yard Metro Station in 15 minutes. House is decorated with modern furniture from Denmark and Sweden. Barbecue and relax on private back deck area or walk a short distance to a playground or a dog park. Great restaurants and shops are also just a short walk from the house.
Messaging
The house is located in the northern part of DelRay which is part of Alexandria. There are wonderful restaurants along Mount Vernon Avenue which is either a short walk or drive from the house. For families with young children, there is a very nice play area very close to the house on the other side of the street. For guests who bring a dog(s), there is a large and very friendly dog park down the street.
The house has an August smart lock. There is also a key lockbox on the front door for those who just want to use a key.
The house is located only a 8 minute car ride from National Airport and 10 minutes from DC.

The gorgeous, brand new Potomac Yard Metro Station is only 0.8 miles away or a 15 minute walk or 4 minute Uber ride.

The 10A, 10B and 33 bus stop is only a one minute walk from the house and is located on Mount Vernon Avenue.

Nice place. Clean, and the beds were very good. Parking was weird and very different. But we managed to get it done. I would recommend the house. 3 stories and a good location

Excellent Host -- great location
Our family spent 5 days here when we came to bury my husband at ANC. It was conveniently located in a good neighborhood. The unit was very nicely equipped. The beds were soooo comfortable! We will definitely look for this property when we return to the area.

Great location!
Great family vacation. We walked to dinner in the neighborhood and walked the dogs to the park, and walked to the metro to take in the sites, museums, and even a caps game. Close to the airport and a huge shopping center. We recommend the District Biscuit company...very yummy and close by. The neighborhood is very dog friendly and theres a great park nearby for dmall children to play. The house is very quiet with plenty of room for the whole family.

I was visiting the Alexandria area for my best friends bachelorette and we could not have found a better place to stay. The location was perfect. The house was clean and spacious and Mark was so kind and generous and easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to the DC area

Alexandria Review
We had a wonderful stay at our VRBO property in Alexandria. We met our host who was friendly and very accommodating. The house was spacious enough for our group of 7 adults. We enjoyed grilling on the back deck. The house was well stocked with essentials and was very neat and clean. Would definitely recommend this property.

The host with the Most
The location is great. Walking distance of many local restaurants; and only 15 to 20 minutes driving distance to many of the tourist attractions. The home was great for our family of 8 adults with a bedroom left over. Everyone had their own space. And the living room made a great gathering space for family time. The home is as described and pictured. Mark the owner/host made our stay extra special with ideas and suggestions. He was always only a fingertip away with answers to questions. Look forward to booking our next stay.

Cute Townhouse in Alexandria
Mark's place in Alexandria was perfect for our family's stay. We were in town for a promotion ceremony at Joint Base Andrews and to do a little DC sightseeing. This house was in a very convenient location. The neighborhood is super cute and walkable. We Ubered to most things but we did walk around the neighborhood and it was scenic and safe with lots of families residing in the area. The beds were super comfy and the place was roomy enough for 4 adults and 2 pre teens. We loved the Swedish décor and we all raved about the Nespresso machine and the nice English teas. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. We had the pleasure of meeting the host and he was so accommodating. I would recommend this VRBO to others looking for a safe low key place to stay near DC. Thanks so much, Mark!

Great row house for a large group family/friends
Everything was as expected. Parking is available. The house was clean. Beautiful and comfortable 3 king beds. 2 great queen beds. 1 of the queen beds is in a room that has curtains for privacy. Comfortable sheets. Every room has a Tv. Very well set up leaving room/dinning room. Beautiful fourniture. Very well equipped kitchen. Coffee paradise including complimentary coffee choices. We chose the espresso machine. Bbq and outdoor seating in the back garden set under a blooming (purple flowers) tree. 20 minute walk to the train that takes you to the Washington mall. 15 minute drive to Washington mall. Thank you Mark for this wonderful stay.

Lovely time with excellent owner support in Alexandria
We had a lovely time in Alexandria with family! This property has a great kitchen stocked with the essentials- just complete by filling up the refrigerator (we went to Mom’s grocery… very close by!) and cook away to your heart’s content! The beds are comfy deep foam mattresses and the two bathrooms-one upstairs, and one in the basement- are close to the bedrooms (3 above and 2 below). The living area has a great table for meal-sharing and family games as well as space for jigsaw puzzles! The owner has decorated the home well. And he is super responsive and supportive. Coffee bar is very well stocked! There are stairs, but they were very doable for the 70 year olds in the family. But we are pretty mobile! Little kids might need help. Tv (there are multiple ones) in the main living area is huge and fabulous for watching sports. Location is so close to everything! Parking was excellent even though it was all on the street and not in a driveway. The showers were wonderful, great pressure and great almost instant hot water! If we ever need a place again in the DC/northern VA AREA again, we will try to rent again!

Great accomodations
The place was easy to find. Opening and locking door with app was simple. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware and loved the added selection of teas and coffees. Tv was easy to use. Plenty of towels ( which always seem to be minimal at most vrbos). Beds were comfortable and clean. Parking was terrible, but not owners fault, the parking area was narrow and difficult to navigate for people used to larger spaces, but there were plenty of spots across the street. If you don't know how to paralell park this would be very difficult for you. Loved that the showers had shampoo, conditioner and body wash available ( especially since some of my family forgot there's). Just a few short minutes to Metrobus, but definitely to far for walking to metrorail station and most of the shops. The only negative would be that the headboards and the return vent in the upper hallway were filthy and full of dust and need a good cleaning. Overall true to listing and wonderful place to stay close enough to visit sites in DC.

Girls weekend for Bridal shower
This property was perfect for our weekend, we had 9 adult woman staying to attend a bridal shower. The house was very clean and had all the amenities we needed along with many extras, even had a delivery of flavored tea bags arrive for us as we were there. Mark was wonderful and answered my messages promptly. He does have a no shoe policy in the house which some girls didn’t realize when they packed and did not bring slippers but I had received his message in enough time before I left that I was able to pick up extra socks for all my friends that had packed the night before and were already at work the day we were leaving when I sent the bring slippers message, since it’s flip flop season most had not packed socks. If I had to come up with one complaint it would be to have known that rule just a day earlier but I figured I’d just give that advice here to future guests. I would definitely recommend staying at this property you will not be disappointed. Great location easy parking and can walk easily to restaurants or a short drive to old town.

Perfect Location for a Girls Trip
Had three college friends come to visit. We had some things we wanted to do in Arlington, Alexandria and the National Harbor area. We also thought we might go into DC, but didn't end up doing so. This home was the perfect location for all that we wanted to do. The landlord is friendly and helpful. The property is safe and well appointed. We had a wonderful stay and we all were sad to leave. Major plus - There are quite a few great restaurants within walking distance.

HU Homecoming Girls Reunion Trip
The property is well appointed, clean, in a good safe neighborhood and central location. It's just much smaller than it looks on line. The 2 full bathrooms are not modern but clean. Just 20 minutes from downtown DC. One of the bedrooms is extremely small and there is no bathroom on the main floor. Other than those minor things we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Mark our host was friendly, accessible and attentive.
