We excited about staying in this Hotel. The rooms were clean and wonderful. The Hotel was well appointed and wonderful decorated. The staff was friendly . The Hotel had a very good restaurant. Despite these wonderful appointments I wouldn’t stay there again. Expedia price says expressly taxes and fees included. We where charged an additional $87.00 in fees and taxes during our stay. The Hotel did provide a $50.00 credit but charged us $267.00 for “incidentals “ for two nights, that they deducted the taxes . I was planning on recommending this hotel but I will not do so . I hope this didn’t happen to other patrons and just me. If that is the case shame on this Hotel.

The service was top notch. We brought our dog. (60 lb doodle) and they were great with him. Staff was excellent genuine, and polite. Valet guys were awesome as well, always opening the door The decor was fantastic. A great job building out the hotel. Will definitely be back to enjoy the expansive rooftop in the summer!!! Outstanding spot walkable to King St!

This is a charming hotel - it’s been lovingly renovated, the rooms are very cute and comfortable. Right in old town Alexandria it’s a quick walk to busy King street or the waterfront. The staff were all lovely. There were amenities, like the speakeasy, we didn’t have a chance to visit - definitely next time!

Hotel Heron was located close to so many restaurants and shops. We parked our car when we got there, and didn’t move it until we checked out. We could walk everywhere. The room was comfortable and inviting. We had a great stay!
