We entered the unit with some difficulty in unlocking the main door. When we finally figured it out and entered the apartment, the entrance light wouldn’t come on. We had to use our smartphone flashlight to look for another light switch to turn on and find our way into the apartment.
There were no written guides on where to’s/how to’s around the apartment including the wi-fi password. There wasn’t even cable TV. The TV sets were only meant for streaming.
The property was too warm. It is late October but we arrived when temperatures outside was in the low 80’s/high 70’s. Customer rep explained that the building has turned off the air conditioning system. Host did not provide a viable alternative except two small fans that were delivered the next day. So we spent the first night in sweaty conditions. The two fans were not enough to cool down the place during the day. Opening the windows and door to the balcony just added warm air from outside (and sometimes cigarette smoke and dog barks) from the building’s open space one floor below.
There seems to be a spot to install an ice maker in the freezer but there wasn’t any. There weren’t any ice trays either.
Also, the dryer was not working properly. The drum inside the machine would stop spinning without the machine actually turning off. Clothes ended up still wet.
We paid to stay in this place for 8 nights. It wasn’t as comfortable as we hope it would be when we booked it.
