"It was a little hard to find, as entry is easy to miss and I wasn't sure which of the cabins it was. But once I got there it was worth the effort: a very nice shepherd's hut, with good facilities and the view was wonderful even in early spring, the only nearby neighbours are the pheasants and deer.Bad: Drive down (or especially back up) is very steep on gravel track so took some practice to get up. "The pictures were n the sight are deceiving,the property was damp and dirty and we could not stay in it,apparently it was cleaned two weeks prior to our stay,cleaning should have been done the day before,the owner was very uncooperative,and has not issued a refund ,indeed he has ignored my request"

"Had a lovely stay in the Owl's Roost. The hosts were so kind and couldn't have been more helpful. It was so peaceful being surrounded by fields. The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated, and the bed was comfy! We will be returning again in the future."

"The lodge was lovely with views of the shoulders of Exmore. It was well fitted with good working facilities and the site was very nicely kept and only has around eight lodges was quiet. The hosts were very supportive when we asked for help. The site is about 30 minutes walk or five minutes drive from the seafront at Minehead."

"Cannot recommend enough superb in all aspects very quiet area away from busy lives. Very clean everything you need for a perfect stay plus extra personal touches from the host ie fresh flowers and home made cakes. "Had an amazing stay at stairway to Devon. Nathan and Helen are fantastic hosts from start to finish. The cabin is stunning with all the added extras that make it special. The cabin is immaculate with everything you need for your stay. I think the local cider and homemade chocolate brownies was a really nice touch. If you are looking for a relaxing retreat with your partner with amazing views of the countryside then this is the place for you. Will definitely be back. Our two chocolate Labradors...

"It was a wonderful, peaceful, relaxing place to celebrate turning 60 with husband, two adult children and the dog! Booked only a week before so only had two nights... we should have booked longer. "I absolutly love the lodges. This was our 2nd year of staying at the Mole. My daughter particularly loves the hot tub. There is plenty of space to walk our dog too and an enclosed area where she can go off lead. Although this year there were a few disappointments. We were not left a doggie goodie bag, even though we had paid for our dog to stay. There were no robes in our lodge which are particularly useful when getting out the hot tub, so we struggled with drying towels for showers and hot tub...
