š Swallow the Anchor Beach & Lake House Rules
(aka: āLetās keep it cozy, classy, and compliantā)
Weāre so happy youāre considering a stay at Swallow the Anchor! Our beach + lake home is a guest favorite, and weāre proud to share it. Butā¦ (and thereās always a ābut,ā right?) in order to keep our little slice of coastal heaven available for future guests, we kindly ask that you follow a few important rules. They're a mix of house rules, community standards, and county regulationsāaka, the Big Threeāand theyāre all here to protect our permit and keep Surf Pines a welcoming place for everyone.
š” Before You Arriveā¦
We require guests to complete a quick 3-minute guest screening through our secure partner, Autohost. This helps verify your identity and prevent fraudāno awkward security deposits required. Think of it like TSA PreCheck, but for beach houses. It helps us get better insurance coverage and ensures we're not unknowingly renting to that one guy banned from every cabin in Oregon.
You'll need:
A valid government-issued ID
The credit card used to make the booking
This is also required by our HOA (Surf Pines Association), not just us. Youāll be in good companyāour neighbors appreciate it!
š House + County + HOA Rules
Letās break it down, nicely but clearly:

Maximum occupancy: 8 people, including all children and visitors. Please donāt try to ādivide and conquerā across nearby homes. If you're bringing more, just ask us firstāno sneaky sleepovers, please!
Smileāyouāre on camera! Exterior surveillance only, 24/7. It keeps everyone honest, safe, and compliant.
No parties, period. Please donāt book this home for others or host an event without our approval.
No smoking anywhere on or near the property. That salty sea air smells better anyway.
No drugs of any kind, even if legal. Weāre keeping things G-rated.
No pets or therapy animalsāour kiddos have allergies, and local wildlife gets territorial.
Max 4 vehicles in the driveway. No street parking, RVs, boats, or business vehicles. Surf Pines is strict about this.
Quiet hours: 10 p.m. ā 8 a.m. Think campfire vibes, not concert energy.
Shoes off, please! Help us preserve the carpets by going barefoot or sock mode indoors.
