"Ok first the positives Check in was quick and a young girl showed us to our room. Friendly staff. Great location if visiting tank museum, monkey world and Durdle Door as all within 15 minutes away. Now the negatives Family Room we were given was in the attic (room 222) which wasn’t what I ordered but were fully booked. Clean but had old carpets and furniture. Beds were comfortable. Could hear loud music all night and there was no way of controlling the temperature in the room. Breakfast on...

"We stayed from Weds to Sun. of half term week. Adult daughter's birthday at Monkey World (fabulous) and we had a lovely comfy time having lunches out (Swanage, Corfe Castle, Studland, Lulworth) and back to relax in the evenings. Well equipped, 3 loos and with all drawers full of things! Owner promptly answered our queries. Car required to make the most of the location."

"Smedmore is the most incredible house and it is a joy to spend time there in the garden cottage. We had four fantastic days there running around and exploring the area. The children loved it - it is so peaceful and you feel as if you've come to a real haven. The team who run Smedmore are friendly, kind and very responsive. We would go back and back."
