This cabin home is private and has stunning views surrounded by aspens that are close to family attractions. Hiking trails are steps from the property. There is a river that runs through the property. This house features a master bedroom, full bath, and an additional attached room with daybed and trundle. There is a nice kitchen with a pantry and living area with a large dining table that will seat 10. The bottom floor has a den with a queen sleeper and a bunk room (sleeps 4) with a bath attached that includes a shower. This cozy home features an expansive living area with large open windows overlooking nature, hardwood floors, a wood burning stove and lots of cozy recliners. The home sits on 3 acres and includes a play structure with two playhouses for the children as well as a large deck that sits on the top level for nice views. The South St. Vrain Creek runs through the property with a bridge and a fishing dock directly over the water for relaxing or fishing or enjoying the crisp mountain water. There is also a pond on the property and a fire-pit for barbecuing or just relaxing under the stars at night. There is a gas grill and a self-enclosed fire pit for deck usage. Bring your swimsuit we have a salt water hot tub! The Ceran St. Vrain Trailhead is only 200 yards away and miles and miles of forest service trails with lots of tall lodge pole pines make for the perfect hike. Embrace the wonders of mountain serenity in one place, but escape to Jamestown for a good cup of coffee or eating just 4 miles away.

For nightlife travel 30 minutes east and arrive in the exciting city of Boulder, 35 minutes south and arrive at the Gambling cities of Blackhawk/Central City, or travel over the Peak to Peak Highway--nationally designated a Scenic Byway and stop at Estes Park for shopping, dining, entertainment and Rocky Mountain National Park.

This cabin is perfect for holiday getaways too.

Our getaway to Ward Colorado, and skiing at Eldora, and then on to Estes Park!
We enjoyed our wonderful stay here, 7 of us, and the proximity to Eldora Ski Resort. And then we visited Estes Park on the way back easbound. Loved the hot tub (I've owned hot tubs for years; we appreciated that the owner spent the $$ to upgrade his jacuzzi to salt water) ... it was perfect after all day skiing at Eldora. We will return next year!

Nice mountain cottage
Overall our family of 6 had a great stay. We enjoyed having a close hiking trail nearby and the hot tub. It was also a great location to bounce back between the Boulder and Estes Park area. The kids were never bored there with out the TV and found enough toys and games to keep them busy. Everyone slept great in the beds.

We certainly enjoyed the peaceful setting. The aspen tree are beautiful in the fall. While in the hot tub a moose walked by the property. Fishing for brown trout , in the creek was fun. Nice hiking trail next to property.

Great Weekend Getaway
That a surprise to walk into such a beautiful place. Clean, lots of cooking utensils and pots and pans, dishes and everything we needed for the weekend. Beautiful walking paths and was so much fun sitting around the fire pit telling scary stories. Everyone loved it and plan to make a trip back.

Kid friendly, beautiful property, and a perfect little river!!!
I cannot say enough about this property!!! We spent hours playing right on the river with the little kids, so fun. The deck was perfect for evening cocktails. The deck and hot tub was perfect for watching the sunrise. The house was clutter free and very kid friendly. It was a perfect vacation for my little family. I would definitely stay there again !!!

Texans on spring break
This cabin was a great place for 10 college students looking for some nature! Our group enjoyed the mountainous location, and packed each day with activities and games at night. We all hung out in the large living area, ate dinners at the big dining room table, and relaxed in the hot tub. Definitely a great break away from school and screens!

We stayed with our 6 kids ages 2-16. This was absolutely perfect and we hope to do it again. You can totally drink the water (other commenters said you shouldn't, well water is safe to drink). We loved every minute. Thanks!

Great for hikers, and to disconnect
Literally right at the Ceran St. Vrain trailhead. You can easily get in a morning hike up and down the trail before many other people arrive. Situated at about 8100' amongst several hills and mountains, you won't be getting cell signal to be tempted by distractions (although there is wifi available in the cabin if you really need it).

Beautiful location. Kids loved exploring outside. Could use a new set of pots and pans, but that was a minor inconvenience. No bear sightings but a big moose crossed our path driving back to the rental our 2nd night 🙂 Plenty of beds, but mattresses are not super comfortable. Nice big table for meals. Great spot for a family get together!

Location was perfect. Nice and quiet. The yard was overgrown so the kids couldn't play on the playground equipment. We planed to grill our first night but there was no propane. I messaged the owner about it and he never responded.

Ray's Mountain
The property was so nice and cozy! The family and I loved it. Very clean and easy to access. Loved the open space and how we were able to just relax in peace. The spacious home had us all sleeping comfortably as well. And the deck and just outside had so much to do even with the snow. It was beautiful and so much fun. The kids and teens especially loved being able to relax in the hot tub and warm up after we went sledding on the hillside next to the house. we will definitely be coming back for another trip!

First of all, The location is beautiful!!! The property is beautiful, the house is cute. The owner was super nice once we got into contact. HOWEVER!!! The hose is in dire need of a deep cleaning. Im not sure if the owner is aware of the state of the house, so we will let him know. We had to re wash everydish we pulled out, clean the fridge. The lights and fans are filled with dead bugs and moths. Blankets were clean and so.e Some weren't. It was requested to fold blanketa and leave on beds and to "try", to wash all linens slept with, and towels. We did spend the extra time for this and ran out of soap. We wanted badly to enjoy the hot tub. We all showered to get in, to realize the hot tub had scum in it and floating debres in it, and it smelled like a filthy fish tank. We wished the house to be clean to enjoy it, and the hot tub. We can tell that it is a loved home. Also, cell service is a NO, their a home phone for local calls only. Do not expect to have strong wifi for work and their is no cable. Also, the maid is rude...and maybe part.of the cleanliness issue. Mixed feelings, about the rental.

Great family house with a funky layout
The property was great! My kids loved the play area outside and the jacuzzi - and gotta love that location! We got a lot of use out of the fire pit and enjoyed the games and toys that awaited us there. We were unprepared for the room layout - the downstairs bathroom is ensuite to the room with two bunk beds, so we had to walk through the kids' room to use it (not ideal after bedtime). The bathtub (upstairs) could not be plugged, which was problematic for washing the little ones, and the hot water needs to be managed or it will run out. That's not so surprising on a mountain property, but altogether it meant our 3yo didn't have a bath the whole time we were there. The internet did go out while we were there, but we reset the router behind the TV and it came back on. The internet is not strong enough for streaming, there's no reception or 3G coverage and there's no broadcast TV, so it's definitely worth it to bring your own DVDs But it is a lovely little property, with all you could ask from a mountain retreat. The deck is so clean and smooth, we all went barefoot, and the stars at night were just breathtaking!! We would love to stay again next time we're in CO! And we're especially grateful to Ray for making the extra effort to get us our 3yo's doll back after she hid it in the playhouse while we were packing! It was above and beyond and very much appreciated!

Property not as described!
Prior to our arrival, we had great communication with the owner. Ray called to be sure that we knew how to get to the property, how to enter the property and to give us a few tips about being in that area. Unfortunately, upon arrival the property was not as listed. The weeds and grass were so tall that we were unable to use the fire pit, swingset, and play area the whole week for fear of safety. Entering the cabin, there was a foul odor that we were unable to get rid of all week. Windows unable to open, the ones that were able to open either had ripped screens or were so thick with dust you could not get any air flow in the cabin. The dishes were all dirty and covered in grease and there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and lights, The shower curtain liner was absolutely filthy, all sheets and towels smelling not fresh. The downstairs bathroom has a horrible smell of fish that will turn your stomach. The shower handle was broken in the basement several lights out of order, plugs not working, and other miscellaneous broken items. Beds very uncomfortable, one with visible mildew on corner of mattress. Fridge froze all of our food items and was thick with dust on top. Despite the property being very disappointing, and feeling that we deserve some money back, the surrounding area is absolutely stunning. We were able to see deer on the property and thoroughly enjoyed the river and trail down the way. We had wonderful weather and loved Boulder county.
