"Poor maintenance of the property "

"The Lyndhurst was perfect for our stay as we just needed a room while visiting family. The location is perfect if you want to be super central and walking distance from the beach and attractions. The room itself was small but big enough to fit everything you need in it. Its was decorated nicely and comfortable. "

"Very attractive gastro pub off the beaten track. Excellent food and range of drinks. I was fortunate the weather was glorious so an evening in the beer garden was appreciated. The room was a good size if only a little dated. The large sash window offered little in sound proofing but had the most glorious view across a field of sunflowers. "We were given room 4, apparently it has an Infamous reputation as the lad who looks after the hotel called a few hours before check-in to ask if we wanted to find alternative accommodation due to the amount of complaints they have about this room. Unfortunately Hotels.com were not especially helpful in changing our booking and we were about to set off so opted to just keep the room. It is at the top of the hotel, 4 flight of stairs up. "In our 2-night stay we had no contact with anyone else at the hotel, but could hear othwr guests a little from our room. Check-in was easy with guidance sent in advance, and the room was cleaned well during the day. The accomodation was clean and comfortable, although the common areas were unlit during the day so quite dark. A small amount of shampoo and shower gel was provided, and the room had a kettle. "had a problem with the shower but was quickly moved to another room. Staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful throughout. Amazing stay, quiet and relaxed."

"This cottage is utterly beautiful. The rooms are well equipped and beautifully furnished. You won't need to take your slippers for the stay, the underfloor heating keeps your toes constsntly cosy. The huge bedroom has stunning views and decorated exquisitely."

"When we arrived the owners came to great us. Very friendly, explained everything very well. Room was perfect with a lovely view. Bed comfortable, breakfast was amazing and great selection. Loved the fan on the wall. Only bad thing i would say is upgrade the pillows, uncomfortable, even with 2. Room was hot even with the fan on the wall. "

"I was really impressed with the quickness of the host to reply to any of my queries, particularly one around using the oven. I really appreciated the cleanliness of the property and the style of the bathrooms. Only downsides are that the property isn’t near any local shops. The nearest shop is a petrol station. "
