Victorian cottage, in central Walton - for short and longer term stays

This is a lovely Victorian cottage situated in a working class residential street in the centre of bustling Walton on the Naze with allocated parking. Close to the station, and shops, plenty of long sandy beaches, a pier, fish n chip shops, gift shops, pie and mash, funfairs, and a wildlife reserve. Walking time - 10 minutes to the station, 1 minute to the shops/cafes, 2 minutes to the beaches and pier, 5 mins to swimming pool and leisure centre.
Property: enclosed front garden, through lounge/dining area with French windows to a small garden. Kitchen with all modern appliances (washing machine in the shed). Upstairs- two bedrooms - one with a double bed and the other with a king size and small single bed. Separate toilet and bathroom upstairs and another separate toilet downstairs. Please note that this street is an inner "city" street - there are children on both sides of the house and playing out on the streets with all the associated noises. Generally the street is very quiet at night with very little traffic as it is not a through road.

A homely, characterful property in a great location. If you want modern and immaculate this isn't for you however if you want warm, comfy and quirky it ticks all the boxes. We would definitely return.

A lovely cottage
It was just myself, my Husband and my 12 yesr old Grandson. The cottage was lovely. Very comfortable and homely. It had a warm and welcoming feel about it. Very close to shops and a short walk to the beach. Spotlessly clean and everything provided by the host for a perfect stay. We hope to go back again very soon.

Had a great 4 nights in this lovely little house. Perfect location for walking on the beach with our dog. Lots of dog friendly pubs (and shops) as well as take aways all within walking distance. Lucky to have great weather (for November).

Seaside retreat
We found the property which is in a nice location, right by the sea, shops and the PIE AND MASH SHOP, it was clean comfatable warm and everything we needed was there, it was so nice to be able to take our 2 small dogs with us, the courtyard garden was ideal, would book again, a real pleasure.

Stayed here a couple of nights for business purposes. Excellent accommodation – fully equipped, warm, clean and spacious. Solid wooden floors, comfortable beds, lots of towels and well-functioning WiFi. About the best I have stayed in for this price bracket. Noticed it was a few minutes from the sea also, so might return in the summer months for a break.

Great property, very spacious with plenty of room. Good location, 5 minute walk to grocery stores and the sandy beach. Jan was lovely, fixing any problems that arises quickly due to good communication. Overall felt very comfortable and had a great stay. 👍

Great family beach location
We had a great week. The property was clean, bright and really close to the beach so we could pop down anytime. The high street is also really useful to get essentials. It is easy to visit local places, such as Harwich, but there is also lots to do locally. The beaches are lovely and sandy but surprisingly quiet. Will definitely visit again!

Had a wonderful time - again!
This was our second stay in this lovely Victorian cottage and we enjoyed it just as much this time. It’s in such an excellent location with just a few minutes walk to the beach, shops, dog friendly pub (the Victory) and loads of take always. There is everything you need in the house if you want to cook and stay in and the beds are extremely comfortable. Look forward to another visit.

Really had good weekend break with a friend. The accommodation was tidy and clean. We took 2 dogs with us. The location of the property was brilliant , it was 2 minutes away from the shops and 5mins from the beach. The area is dog friendly beaches.

Lovely Stay
We (a family of 4 with 2 young children) stayed here for 2 nights at the end of May and really enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious, clean and very well equipped. The beds were comfortable and there was even a bed guard for toddlers which came in very handy. The house is in within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops, even for little legs. We visited Walton and Frinton beaches and they were both beautiful, clean and very quiet. Our children didn’t want to leave!
