A great surprise was a general store that had everything we needed right across the street, and beautiful hiking and places to eat within a half hour. "I decided to stay a bit out of town for a ski trip....and it was perfect. Just a 10 min ride down the hill to OKEMO and LUDLOW. It is absolutely beautiful and quiet...the sunsets and sunrises are amazing from the top of that hill. It is secluded and you really get a slice of VT. The unit is very large and spacious. "This is a second floor apartment, requiring access by a staircase. We were aware that there would be stairs, but these stairs were quite steep and a little uneven. The interior is exactly as presented in the photos. It is comfortable and roomy. "The owner had the place ready to go when we arrived. It was a late arrival, but there were outside lights that were warm and inviting. Plenty of space for our party of 12 (6 adults and 6 kids). Kitchen was welled stocked with cooking necessities, great hangout spaces in the basement and first floor, and a convenient space for ski boots and outer gear in the basement near parking. Kids absolutely loved the pool - and have the pruned hands to prove it. The location couldn't have been better, ~25...
