This is the second time we have stayed at this property and again it did not disappoint, everything is as described in the post. The cabin was awesome and the fishing was just about as good. Great place to stay
Enjoyed this beautiful cabin on the quiet part of the bay. Grandchildren enjoyed the dock for fishing and the bunk beds were a hit. Heard many loons and enjoyed the bike trail which is so close.
Great experience with this property and owner. Everything was as advertised and communication with owner was excellent. Teenage son and I were in the area to relax and do a few fishing trips...this place was perfect for both! Highly recommend and would 100% book again in the future!
My husband and I were very pleased with the cabin. We rented it for a long weekend and it was very clean upon arrival. Kitchen supplies available which is nice if you plan on cooking. Great location, not far from Walker if you need to grab something. Water is accessible for swimming or your boat. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking.
We loved our stay! The property was just perfect… simple, clean, cute, right on the water. We also loved the nearby walking/biking trail (literally four houses away). Bonus, it was very dog friendly (dividing fence from neighboring properties and clean up station). The property owner immediately responded to questions during the whole process. Excellent first Vrbo experience!
We had the best time at the cabin on kabekona bay! It was clean and adorable and the lake was clear and shallow by the dock which is great for little kids too! My boys fished a lot and the trail is out the back door almost so it was perfect for us and biking and rollerblading ! 5 minutes from walker it was just perfect! We will be back!!
Last week our family had the pleasure of staying at this cabin on Kabekona Bay. The location was great. Beautiful views from cabin on quiet end of lake. Also very easy assess to Walker Bay and into the town of Walker by boat! The cabin could not have been cleaner, with very thing we needed for the week. Diane was FANTASTIC! Very friendly and accommodating!!
Diane's cabin is on a beautiful part of the bay - away from the bustle and noise - beautiful sunrises and sunsets - loons calling - very tranquil and the cabin was top notch - very spacious - bedrooms very comfortable - kitchen fully stocked - just wish we would have rented it longer. We will be back next year. Thank you Diane for this wonderful place to recharge.
Wonderful cozy cabin that was the perfect location for our up north get away! My husband and I came up to do some biking on the Paul Bunyon and Heartland bike trails, and we're delighted to discover the Paul Buyon trail ran right by the cabin! The weather was wonderful and the cabin was clean, well stocked and cozy! The owner was very responsive to a miscommunication (all my fault!) and immediately helped our situation out! Thank you! We enjoyed watching the loons on the lake, and the fenced yard was perfect for our 2 pups! Can't wait to come up here again!
The cabin is well taken care of and very clean! The screened in area by the lake is perfect when the bugs start coming out in the evening. We loved that the yard was fenced in so we didn’t have tie out our dog, and the dog station made it even easier to clean up after him. The lake was crystal clear off the dock plenty of area to swim. The fishing was also great, wish we had another whole week to find the good fishing holes. All together it was a great experience.
Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Sincerely,
Steve, Jessica and family
Our stay at the cabin was thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing. The cabin itself was immaculate and much roomier than it appears in the photos. It was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. The yard, gazebo, fire pit and dock were put to good use by our family. Our dog could roam freely thanks to the fence. The Paul Bunyan Trail is basically accessible at the end of the driveway. We walked and biked nearly every day and were able to access other trails off of the Paul Bunyan Trail. Diane was very helpful, and we were able to communicate with her easily whenever a question arose. The cove was very quiet and away from the busy lake activities. This was a fantastic place to relax and connect with the family. We would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.
The Paul Bunyan state trail is right out the door for endless miles of biking and walking, and trail access to the beautiful Chippewa National Forest is just a 10-minute drive from this property. Gorgeous NE view of Kabekona Bay though the big windows of the cozy cabin. We stayed during MEA weekend, which is usually a cold and rainy time, and this year was no different (except the rain turned a little snowy). We stayed nice and warm inside when needed, thanks to the gas furnace in the main living area and the space heaters in the bedrooms. Plenty of room for our family of four + my MIL and our two dogs. We had a loon visit near the end of our dock each evening, and we enjoyed the fire pit one night (thank you, Diane, for the s'mores kit!). All the kitchen stuff we needed was provided, the place is clean and tidy, and very, very comfy! We'd love to come back during warmer months for some time on the water - this is an ideal location! :-) Thank you!
Very clean, cute, cozy cabin. Set up perfectly so that we could bring our dog along and not have to kennel him! The fire pit was all set up for us to enjoy a fire near the lake. Great dock of you have a boat. Lake views were excellent to see all the fall colors.
Walker has been my second home since childhood. This place brought back all my memories. Everything we needed was there. The cabin and property was extremely clean. The property is beautiful overlooking the bay. Very peaceful and relaxing.
Cozy, well kept property in a great location. A close drive to town (Walker) if needed and only 400 ft away from the Paul Bunyan trail.
Diane was a wonderful host and was quick to answer any questions we may have had. We would definitely recommend it and will stay again in the future!!
We came for a family vacation. Us and our five kids, between ages 10 and 7. We also brought our family dog as well. The house was well maintained and very accurate to what was described in the listing. The house was also fully stocked with all the basics which was nice. The fenced in yard was SO AMAZING! The host was very kind and responsive to any messages or questions. The house sits on a very large hill, So be prepared to drive up a steep hill with no turn around space . Also yard down to the lake and fire pit are on a very steep hill. This was fine for our family but would not be toddler friendly or great for elderly who struggle to walk up the hills The view of the lake is beautiful. We are a huge fishing family and the kids enjoyed catching all species of fish right off the dock. We will definitely be keeping this in our list of favorite family vacation spot.
This is the 2nd time renting this property. We just love it. Diane does a fantastic job communicating & is very welcoming. Nice gazebo with lake views. We enjoy the access to Leech Lake by boat. Will be coming back for sure!
