Dale was very gracious and sent a list of everything we could ever want to know about the property and the area. Unfortunately, our group had a late cancellation due a medical emergency. I hope to rebook for next year.

Family Vacation

Really cool, comfortable, cozy home. Dale was very responsive whenever we any questions. The home was well equipped with anything you needed. Even a garage made available to us which worked out well because one day it was rainy and that is where we hung out. It's a great location on the lake. We already reserved for next year.

Perfect Getaway

This place is beautifully located and has everything you need for a great time in the woods. The lake is gorgeous and there is a canoe, kayaks and paddle boards for days of fun on the water. Comfortable beds, modern appliances, and Wi-Fi make for an easy and relaxing time. Dale is a fantastic host and responds quickly with any questions or recommendations. Perfect vacation getaway!

Beautiful place in beautiful settings

The house is really spacious and beautiful, with amazing views and everything one may need. Also very clean which was very much appreciated (not always a given from previous experiences). The owner was very responsive and helpful with suggestions and ideas for what to do during a strange weather week. The kids loved the playroom and skating on the lake. Should be amazing in the summer too, we'll be back!

Great house and location

We had a great time here with our kids - the lake provides endless hours of entertainment and the house has kayaks, a paddleboard, a canoe, and a pedal boat. The dock is in great condition. The house is extremely clean and fresh feeling. Dale is a very responsive and helpful owner. Highly recommended.

Family vacation

This is the first time we've tried to have a rental on a lake/pond and it was fabulous. The quiet cove was perfect for sitting on the deck,fishing from the dock and swimming.We will definitely do it again..in fact, I've reserved for next year. With COvid, we wanted to stay close to home and this was the perfect fit. Dale, the owner thought of everything we could want and was responsive to every need..The house was equipped with everyhng you might need. I highly recommend!

Great relaxing trip

We had a fantastic week on the lake in Wakefield. The house has everything in the listing and more (including upstairs bedrooms now enclosed). The lake dock, boats and swimming raft were a ton of fun for the entire family, and it was easy to get to lake Winnepausauke and Conway destination from the home. We even had plenty to do in the few rainy days we had enjoying foosball and the other games and entertainment in the home. One of the best rental homes we have found to date!

Very clean. The owner was very responsive and easy to reach. They did a nice job with the new set of stairs and deck leading to the water and dock. Great location.

Perfect to unplug

This was the perfect getaway for my family with small children. Wonderfully clean house, all the amenities you need and so much fun. Dale was a great host and great to communicate with. Would def rent again.

The perfect lake stay

If there is anything about this property description that is inaccurate, it’s that the photos don’t show off the beautiful views enough. The main floor with the kitchen and sitting area and the decks have absolutely spectacular views of the lake. There is a new and well- constructed set of stairs leading down to the lake. This is a very tranquil spot on the lake- my kids said it’s like being in a tree house and on a lake at the same time. The owner Dale was quickly responsive and not intrusive and the place was extremely clean and stocked with just enough for a good start but not cluttered in the least. Can’t say enough about our fantastic week here. You won’t be disappointed!

Great spot for reunion

We had people traveling from DC, NJ, NY, MA and the location was great. Everyone was able to meet up and travel back easily. The bedding was comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed. There was plenty to do even on a rainy day. Dale was very responsive.

Fantastic hone!

We had such a great stay at this property. It was clean and well equipped, and provided more than enough room for our group of 6. The location on Pine River Pond was awesome—ideal for using the provided boats as well as fishing off the dock. The floating dock was great too! Our boys (8 and 11) spent hours using the pedal boat, and loved hanging out in the basement at night. As others have mentioned, the bedrooms upstairs are both open as part of a loft, but this worked fine for our family. Dale was excellent to work with — he made everything easy and was very responsive to our questions. We made many great memories during our stay, and loved the location! Don’t hesitate to rent this property!

Pine River Pond

We had a great time. We have friends who own a house on the lake so it was so nice. The house is clean and has everything you need/want. The views are amazing and it is very tranquil place. We didn’t realize from the posting that it wasn’t a true 3 bedroom since the 2 bedrooms upstairs are really a loft but it was fine for our family. The owner was easy to work with and very responsive. Highly recommend!!

Highly recommended

Our family (couple and 2 adult children) had a relaxing week at this lovely home on a quiet cove on Pine River "Pond." We enjoyed the swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, and hiking (never got to the paddle boat; next time!). Perhaps the best part was simply reading on the deck and enjoying the great view of the lake. We also had a nice meal at the Wakefield Inn. The owner (Dale) was very conscientious, responsive to our requests, and open to suggestions. He's planning to build stairs down to the water (there is now a path), which would be essential for any elderly guests (and helpful for everyone else), and add some dressers (among other improvements). The house has a modern and airy feel; large great kitchen, somewhat small (but adequate) living room/den area, and separate dining room (which we never used as we had all our meals outside on the deck). Nice bathrooms, comfortable beds. The loft layout worked fine for our family, but the openness of the upstairs bedrooms might not be desirable for everyone.

NH Lake Getaway

The cottage on Pine River Pond was a perfect getaway for the week. The cottage was immaculate when we got there, the kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The view out over the lake was fantastic, and the location on the cove meant it was calm without powerboats zooming by. We made full use of the kayaks and paddle board and it was a great spot to swim too. The host was super helpful and we would love to return.

A great week by the lake.

What a great week! The house is on a cove of a good sized lake, even though it's called a "pond." The water in the cove is clear and still (good for swimming, paddleboarding, etc.) but sheltered from the main part of the lake, motorboats, etc. Sunset reflecting off the water is magical. The path down to the dock is a bit steep but fine for all but the most frail. Boats and floats are as advertised and generally in good condition. The house itself is recently renovated, spotless, and pretty well equipped. Everything worked, from the grill to the window AC units! Two of the three bedrooms are in an open loft without privacy, which may not work for everyone, but it was fine for us. The kitchen easily allowed several of us to work at a time, and there was plenty of outdoor eating space. Window air conditioners, fans, wifi, appliances, etc. all worked just fine. Access off a dirt road is easy and the house is far enough from the highway so that there was no road noise to speak of.

Excellent rental

Beautiful house with all current amenities. Very clean, well taken care of property. Perfect cove on the lake. The owner checked in a couple times throughout the week just to make sure we didn’t need anything. Wonderful week on the lake!

Relaxing week

We had a nice relaxing week. The location was perfect, and right on the lake. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and swimming. We took some nice hikes throughout the week as well. The house was immaculate, and very nice. Great big deck overlooking the lake. The owner was extremely responsive to any question. Would highly recommend.
