"The unit we stayed in was well appointed and had everything we needed. They supplied much more than other timeshare units we have stayed in. We have arrived late and had enough toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, etc. to get us through the first few days. The decor was modern and, although the unit was surface cleaned, it could definitely use a deep cleaning. We had an issue with the dishwasher and dryer, both issues were resolved quickly by maintenance. The office staff was very friendly as was everyone we met on the grounds. There is only one small pool and hot tub at this location but we never found it overcrowded. It’s very close to the stores and Restaurants at Waikoloa but is a 30 to 40 minute drive to downtown Kona. We appreciated the location, but if you want to spend a lot of time in the Kona area, it might be a little far. The first seven days we were staying with our timeshare and found out that you need to pay $10 a day for air conditioning. We booked three additional days directly and apparently you don’t have to pay for air conditioning for those days. We did not wind up needing the air conditioning at all the whole time we were there but it’s something you’ll want to be aware of. Because it’s up in the mountains, a little bit, there was always a beautiful, cool breeze in the evenings. You need to be very mindful of the speed limits, we saw many people getting speeding tickets when we were there. Overall, I would recommend the Resort. "

"If you are visiting the Big Island, look no further than the western on Hapuna Beach! This resort is beaming with luxury, but also offers a beachy vibe and many spaces to escape to on the property. The food at Meridia is absolutely incredible and it is the best restaurant on the island as far as food and views! The bed in the room is like sleeping on a cloud, And the bathrooms are exquisite, equipped with dual sinks, a bathtub and a glass walk-in shower. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and received a complementary bottle of champagne and a room upgrade, courtesy of our personal concierge at the hotel, Megan! From the moment we walked in, we felt the aloha spirit! Get down to the adult pool no later than 9 AM or else people will hold their chairs and leave for the afternoon. We spent time on the ocean, and the adult pool, ate at all of the restaurants and sat at the Pika open-air bar for after-pool/beach drinks and just watched the ocean. We took the free shuttle to the sister resort, Mauna Kea, ate at the incredible Copper Bar and Hau Tree on the ocean. Manta restaurant looks pretty, but has no view like the others. We went to completely unplugged for six nights, so we did not rent a car, and still had plenty to do at the resort, never missing a drop of its beauty. This will be our permanent go to resort on the big island! Mahalo!!!"

"The resort was not full because of the construction. It will be beautiful when completed. We enjoyed the ability to get a chair at the beach and pool. The construction didn’t bother us. We enjoyed our stay there very much. "

"Location is in a very peaceful area with amazing views of the ocean, coastline and Mauna Kea. You need to figure out food options as it is remote but there was plenty of coffee and tea options in the room. A ceiling would be a benefit but the standing fan and air conditioner eventually cooled the room. The owners were very kind and helpful. Definitely recommended."

"Waikoloa Village is a perfect stay with cooler nights and stars galore. I have a star app for the skies. Lance's condo has a spectacular view!!! Very relaxing. The property was clean and I enjoyed my stay.3nough"

"This place is terrific! Nice outdoor dining and seating areas, very clean, kitchenette is a nice touch. Rooms were very pretty and spacious. What lovely surprise! Waimea is a fun little town and gave us a different area to explore. Highly recommended."

"This is a very nice spot, with a serene view to the ocean over a herd of grazing cattle. The cottage is also unique with most everything you need to make meals and relax. The bath is nice as well with a large shower. The day bed (single) is a firm foam mattress and quite comfortable.. Alas, the double bed is worn and most uncomfortable. I'm sure that the owners have scheduled a replacement of the bed and upgrading it to a queen. We would very definitely stay here again."
