"We attended a wedding at the Mission so this was the perfect place to stay. We loved everything about the place!"

"Interesting historic place. Pleasant place to relax and a great base for exploring the Hawke's Bay. Spent 3 nights there, service is good and the staff very helpful. Stayed in the "William Nelson Suite" and we could relax on the verandah or in the grounds with its historic trees."

"We enjoyed our time here, made for a much needed 3 day getaway with the doggos. Unfortunately the weather in Nov was a little variable so we couldn't quite make as much use of the outdoor facilities as we might have, but when the weather had a break the deck area was lovely. Still went for beach walks (albeit a bit wrapped up against the cool winds that weekend) - its really quick to walk to the beach. Would definitely stay again."

"Our family (3 adults, 1 teen) spent a lovely chill Christmas week at this quirky and beautiful property which looks as though it has been built and decorated through a labour of love over many years. Colourful and delightful everywhere inside. Plenty of comfy spots to stretch out with a book or board game in the house, deck, lawn or patio. Hammock and loungers under a tree were a particular highlight in blistering HB heat. Beach is about 1km walk away, via ice creams at the dairy. Hosts were...
