Why stay in Waikoloa Village?!
It's the perfect town to make as your home-base.  As the Village overslooks the Kohala Coast, and is protected by the mountains, some of the best weather on the island is found here!  Temps are consistently in the 80s year-round.  Rain is on occasion and when it happens, we all rejoyce!  Night time dips into the 70s and during the winter months, into the 60s.  Waikoloa Village receives great breezes which is why most condos and homes do not have air conditioning.  Just open all the windows and doors and you'll get a wonderful cross breeze!

What to do while here?
You are located a short stroll from the Waikoloa Village featuring a KTA grocery store.  This is the perfect little town market with a butcher, deli, bakery plus fresh island fruits and vegetables.  If you forgot something, KTA also has peronal/toiletry items.  In the same shopping center, there's a coffee shop, bank, a food court with Mexican, Chinese and island style food.  Plus, a wonderful dining place called Pueo's with a happy hour from 5-6pm.  Don't miss out on the Waikoloa Restaurant & Bar happy hour or their karaoke night!

Looking for more food options?  Drive down the road to the beach and you'll find Tommy Bahamas, Roy's, Tropical Ale House and Lava Lava Beach club with oceanfront dining.

Needing to get a shopping fix in?  Enjoy yourself at the King & Queens shops where you'll find Tiffany's, Na HoKu, Macy's, art galleries and more.  Plus, a movie theater for those keiki while you shop!

You should the short 20 minute drive up the mountain to the town of Waimea where you'll find a craft brewery, Big Island Brewhaus, with their great beer and don't forget to try their fish bites!  Waimea also offers shopping, a farmer's market and beautiful lush views.

Get yourself down to Kona where you will enjoy Kona Brewing Company, beaches, local shops and a stroll down Ali'i Drive next to the ocean.  Don't forget to stop at Costco, Target or Walmart while you're in Kona.

Getting to the other side of the island is easy from Waikoloa.  Just hop on Saddle Road and head to Hilo.  You'll see how diverse the island is traveling across Saddle Rd where it's lava fields on either side and feels like the moon.  But when you approach Hilo, it's green and lush!  While on the east side of the island, check out Akaka Falls, Waipi'o Valley, Volcano Winery and of course, Volcanoes National Park.

Enjoy Golfing?
Waikoloa Village Golf Course is right next to the condo!  It was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr and is a par 72. It plays to 6,791 yards and is situated at the 1,000 ft elevation overlooking the beautiful Kohala Coast. You'll be able to receive discounted rates as a guest at the condo.  There are other beautiful golf courses in the area: Makani Golf Club, Hamakua Country Club, Kona Country Club, to name a few.

Beaches!
Lovely beaches are just a few minutes away.  A-Bay is a favorite with a sandy shoreline that has a gradual water entry.  Beach 69, Beach 49 and Hapuna State Park are all within 15 minutes of the condo.

Cozy and relaxing
My husband and I had a great stay in Waikaloa Village. Loved that it was away from the busyness of Kona but still super close to drive to everything and not feel so removed from it all. Loved the beaches and shopping that were close by. The grocery store down the street was nice and convenient. We enjoyed cooking breakfast and having coffee on the lanai every morning. Our stay was very refreshing. Would definitely stay again.

Great location
We’ve stayed in other units in this complex and love the location. Watching the sunset is spectacular. Kitchen supplies were great and other than not having dishwasher detergent for the first 4 days, everything else was there. The cable didn’t work in the living room, and that was fixed within a few days. The kitchen sink wouldn’t drain, and we didn’t hear from the management company for over 24 hours after we’d left a message. Luckily my husband cleared the pea trap himself and that took care of the problem. The floors weren’t very clean. I wiped up some water on the bathroom floor the day we checked in and the towel was dirty when I picked it up. Some things that could use improvement: an umbrella for the lanai table to allow sitting on the lanai in the evening. It’s too hot and there’s no protection from the sun. Outdoor chaise lounges would be really nice too. There needs to be a curtain on the very large floor to ceiling window near the kitchen. No privacy. We would definitely stay here again, so none of these issues were concerning enough to cause significant disappointment. It’s a good location with good amenities.

Great price with a nice view
The property was a nice location walking distance to a grocery store and a few shops. Great views of the golf course and ocean. The place could use a little love and deep cleaning. I had to clean the bathroom so that I felt comfortable using it.

Peaceful golf course beautiful ocean view
We really enjoyed staying in this condo. It’s beautifully decorated, with all the things you need to live here. The golf course, swimming pool, grocery store and restaurants are very conveniently located. We loved how close Waikoloa Resort beach was, as well as the The Queens Market Place there. Jane, the manager, was very nice and helpful with any questions or concerns that we had. The only issue we had was that the bed was a little to hard for us. Overall though, its a great place to stay.

Great location and condo
Pre-arrival info was very helpful as was the personal phone call to make sure all my questions were answered. The unit was located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood with a lovely view of the golf course and ocean. I rarely used the air conditioner because there was a cool breeze every evening. I highly recommend this condo.

Lovely views and convenient location, but would not stay here again.
The property is somewhat dated and needs some TLC. Some of the cook top burners did not work. Numerous windows would not open or close completely due to rust. Mainly the bathroom window would not close, and therefore it was cold and windy in the bathroom. There were only 2 thin worn face towels in the unit. There was virtually no beach equipment, except in the owners area which had a Keep Out sign. This felt very unwelcoming.

Good value, comfortable stay, great view.
Good value, clean, great sunset view. Somewhat dated building and village complex but unit was nicely updated, air-conditioned and bug-free. Information within the unit lacking or too vague with regard to things like wireless, pool location and expected role in laundry/incremental laundry fees. Kitchen simply adequate. Lacks a BBQ and any beach/recreation extras beyond towels. Thank you for the recycling area! Nice to have grocery and a few restaurants nearby given its 30m from Waikoloa Resort area and beach. Alert: On the exterior stairwell to this 2nd floor unit, we found ourselves constantly tripping on the top step whether a raised stair edging or a higher stair than the others. Overall, we were happy with our stay here.

Nice condo with issues
The condo was comfortable with great views. However, on day one we found the shower drain was clogged. On day 3 we had refridgerator and window blind issues. The refridgerator wasn’t cooling or freezing properly and the bedroom mini blind was stuck in the down position. The drain and fridge were fixed but the mini blind wasn’t. Then with 3-4 days left of our stay we started finding roaches in the living room, kitchen counter and kitchen drawer. I understand that things happen and maybe they all just happened at once. The management company was very responsive but these are things you don’t want to deal with while you are on vacation. The initial rental process was confusing along with confusing follow up communication from the management company. There was also a late booking fee that I wasn’t informed of. I booked almost a month in advance. You would think that getting a renter would be better than letting it sit vacant but I was penalized for renting the condo. I was also told that the damage deposit was refundable but it turns out it doesn’t appear to be refundable. These issues were inconvenient but Hawaii is an awesome place to visit and we had a great time. Hopefully the management company can fix the issues with then condo and their confusing communications.

overall a great location and condo
The condo was in a great location and perfect size for a couple or single person. Unfortunately the condo was dirty (crumbs in the chairs and smelly carpets) and the bed creaked so loudly it prevented us from sleeping soundly. Providing a couple of extra garbage bags would be helpful to keep the trash down in the house.

Wonderful Unit Until You Go to Bed
Nicely decorated unit with great views. Great kitchen that has upgraded appliances and was fully stocked with utensils. Dryer vents directly back inside the unit. Glad there was AC to counteract that. Convenient designated parking space. But the big disappointment was the bed. It was comfortable enough, but we've never slept on a whoopee cushion before. Just when you want to sleep you realize you will have your our own private noisemaker in the bedroom with you. All you have to do is sit on it or turn over in bed. Instant noise!! Instant annoyance. We never really got used to it. Will try Waikoloa Village again, but probably not this unit.

Lovely condo with distant ocean view over golf course
Very convenient condo for us as it was close to Saddle Road and we could make trips back and forth without extra driving. We were not visiting Kona much so avoided most of that congestion south. Easy drive to the Kohala beaches, shopping, and resorts, had a dedicated parking spot, and plenty of room inside (magnified by the vaulted ceilings). Lanai was great with expansive views, just to drink coffee in the morning watching the golfers or watch the stars at night, and a roller shade to keep out the sun if needed. We didn't use the air-conditioning but it would be a nice option on those more humid days. Kitchen was nicely updated and plenty of dishware if needed. It was a well-suited place for us based on location.

We enjoyed being in Wailokoa village condo, close to everything!
The beaches were nice, the condo has plenty of towels and having a kitchen allowed us to enjoy some poke and breakfast at home. Mucho Mahalo! Can't wait to be back here again, sad to leave.
