"Upon arrival we saw several dogs, a goat and horse in the yard. I called the owner and he came out the back. He said those animals would stay in the front yard so we’d have to enter and exit through the back door. My husband and myself walked through and the elderly owner was kind but underprepared. "Although remote, it was worth the drive to find it! So quiet and beautiful among the horse pastures and cornfields. We only used the main level which was perfect for the 3 of us including my 80 year old mother. If you don’t appreciate family history and vintage furnishings, you may be disappointed. It’s like staying at your grandma’s home and was perfect for us. Covered carport was very convenient as it was raining when we arrived."
