“The Strazza House“ Tiny Container Home 12 min to Magnolia Silos/Baylor/Downtown

Summary:
This tiny house has all the amenities of an upscale hotel room yet with unique and exquisite design and decor. A queen size bed with a super-comfy Tuft & Needle mattress will help you fall asleep fast. A full size shower and bathroom is snuggled into the back of the unit and has endless hot water! For your morning coffee a Keurig and K-cups are provided along with a microwave for heating up your popcorn in the evening. Climb up to the rooftop deck for stargazing or your morning coffee.

The Space:
This unique home started as a 20' shipping container. Our build company, CargoHome, insulates and panels the interior in pine shiplap and trim it out in 100+ year-old barn wood. The outside is clad with cedar siding, spaced to allow the original container to still be seen. The fun rooftop deck is surrounded by a custom cable railing system and lit with LED lights that gives the deck a beautiful glow at night. LED lights inside and a super-quiet, efficient mini-split AC unit makes this a comfortable, energy efficient space.

The Neighborhood:
Great, safe neighborhood in the country just north of Waco. 5 minutes off I-35 and 3 minutes from Cafe Homestead and Homestead Craft Village. Only 8 minutes from the Waco airport.

Getting Around:
Parking is available right at the house. Uber is also fully available in the area.

Interaction with Guests:
We live right around the corner so are available for anything you need.

Perfect spot for eclipse viewing and visit to Waco
Rented this tiny home for the April 2024 total eclipse. We were not disappointed! The place was really cute and the location could not be beat. We were just outside of Waco with easy access to town and to the highway. The rooftop deck was perfect for eclipse viewing and for lounging.

Cozy and comfortable!!
We stayed overnight for a quick getaway. The tiny home is very well decorated, had get amenities! Even toothbrushes for the forgetful : ) The bed was super comfy like a cloud. I want the mattress topper now! It helped my pregnancy aches at night! The hosts were very attentive throughout the process through email. We definitely want to come back and utilize the rooftop deck when we have more time. Beautiful and quiet property as well! 10/10 ❤️

Property owner NON-RESPONSIVE
The A/C unit dripped condensation The WHOLE time we were there. It was enough water to soak 2 large towels. The drip drip drip was like Chinese water torture. We could not get to the bathroom or kitchenette without walking on the squishy towel and getting dripped on. I sked the property owner for a full refund or a credit for an additional night later on. I attached pictures of the mess. I got NO RESPONSE.

Our stay
The AC was inadequate, there was wine or blood on the headboard, the clock battery has been dead for so long that is was corroded. The blinds gave us no privacy because they were not the right size for the windows. We will not be a returning customer. Then as we are leaving we get an email to strip the bed prior to us leaving to help the house keepers. Not impressed. On a positive side….the website, check in process and communication prior and following our stay was really good.

Such a unique experience
Really impressed with the cargo-homes. It has everything you need in a compact space. But don’t let that scare you. It being a smaller space gives a welcoming vibe to be outside. And honestly when you’re just hanging out watching TV, it’s super comfortable and you don’t feel cramped at all. The roof porch was my favorite part of the stay.

Nice, clean and quiet.
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights over a weekend to attend a local triathlon in Waco. I have learned over the years how noisy hotels are, especially if you are trying to get some rest the night before a race. Our villa was just what we needed. Clean, cozy, and best of all the location is quiet.

Quiet stay, spotless place!
This was our first time staying in a tiny house. We were looking for a place to stay the night and didn't want to stay in a hotel. Amanda was in constant communication with us. We truly felt that if we ever needed anything we would be able to reach her and she would respond right away. The property was pretty big with at least 6 other tiny homes/cabins on it. The cabins are all spaced out so everyone has there own privacy. The house itself was spotless! the room smelled clean, the bathroom was updated, had plenty of towels and toiletries. The small kitchenette was perfect for the size of the home. The bed was very comfortable. Was a little worried that a converted Conex box would not be able to keep the Texas heat out. Man was I wrong! The AC unit was able to keep us cool throughout the night. We will be sure to recommend this place to family and friends when in the Waco area.
