Summary:
In the 1950s when Elvis Presley was the hottest personality on Earth, he visited our home to unwind. Our childhood home, built in 1924, has been reborn as a vacation rental decorated in Elvis-era furnishings and has not changed much since Elvis graced its halls.
The Space:
The Elvis house was built by the Fadal family in 1924 but in the 1950’s became known as Elvis Presley’s “home away from home.” The home has been updated with recessed lighting, stainless steel appliances, and a well equipped kitchen.
Guest Access:
Guests may enjoy the entire home. Listen to vintage vinyl on the 1960’s Seeburg record changing console in the Elvis Room, mix a drink in the bar or kick back and relax with a movie after a busy day. There is also an original Sony three screen tv identical in every way to the one Elvis once owned. Since the “king” liked to watch all three networks at one time Sony made these sets and gave them as gifts to US Senators, President Kennedy and Elvis.
The Neighborhood:
The home is 10 minutes from everywhere you’d want to go in Waco. Downtown, the Silos, Baylor University as well as a large HEB grocery store, Target and local coffee shops. Check out the gorgeous home across the street, which is featured in Season 5 of Fixer Upper.
The neighborhood is quite diverse. Waco is proud to offer places for diverse families to live and work together.
Getting Around:
Waco offers both Lyft and Uber transportation services.
Other Things to Note:
This Short Term Rental is licensed by the City of Waco License #STR000321
Interaction with Guests:
I live nearby and am available via my cell if you have any questions about the house or our lovely city.
