"Kathy & Chris were fabulous hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and their tips regards restaurants, places to visit and the general area were very helpful. Property is lovely, garden and pool gorgeous and views are just stunning. We had a very restful, comfortable and happy week, not doing an awful lot, other than fussing and playing with the cats who are so friendly. Thank you both for a wonderful week."

"I booked a Jr. suite and it is very nicely appointed. The air conditioning works perfectly. The room is maintained nicely and I had a loft bedroom facing the sea with a small balcony overlooking the sea. The decor was very nice with a living area with sofa, cocktail table. The in room safe was not bolted very odd and concerning they need to correct that. I had two bathrooms one on the main level with large shower and one in the loft bedroom a large circular sinker tub very nice to take a nice hot soak. Breakfast was very nice buffet with a large sweet and savoury selection including fresh fruit, fresh squeezed orange juice, very nice coffee. The lighting in my room is also very nice and thought out. The location is a bit far from Old town Rethymno a 30 minute walk but the local bus, walk or taxi will get you there fast. The upside is you are on the beach and have loungers and a semi private beach at your disposal. There are also some very fine dining options within one block and at the property were you can dine on the ocean and enjoy a very nice sunset. "

"I had a lovely stay here and would come again. I will say that while the property is clean and the staff take care of it, it does need a little lick of paint here and there but overall it is a beautiful location and a true place to relax and recoup. I was disappointed that there wasn't yoga classes as posted, but I was able to book a private class with a teacher, who was great. Booked with their masseuse a few times as she was WONDERFUL (Rose if I remember rightly) Handy swimming pool right outside my room (salt). And a little general store on site which after realizing that Plakias is a 15min drive away, was good to have on hand. Scuba diving in the cove was gorgeous and there was a little spot you could jump straight into the ocean near the main pool. The cove is not the beach however, the walk to the beach is about 20 minutes and up some very steep stairs. The view is amazing, but I'd recommend wearing solid walking shoes as there is loose gravel/rocks and the drop to the ocean is sheer. The entertainment was mediocre to be honest, and the location would benefit from a karaoke night in my opinion. All-inclusive does not include all drinks, beer and wine only. But the food was decent enough to not bother going into the town except for a treat. Great nudist beach nearby in Plakias, with regular beach down the road. Lovely little town. "

"Perfect! The Hotel is well maintained, spotlessly clean with warm friendly service. All rooms overlook the beach and Almyrida bay. Bed and Breakfast, with breakfast served at Almyrida Beach hotel (200m walk). Great choice of food and beverage of a high quality and friendly service (staff brilliant with our kids). You also have access to all facilities at Almyrida studios, beach and residences during stay including pools and bars. Location is footsteps from the beach with crystal clear water and Sandy beach with lots of sun loungers and umbrellas (€15 a day for two). Temperature of water is warm so a good substitute for the pool (also good for young kids as not deep). Multiple places to eat and drink throughout day and night (lots of great restaurants for night and beach bars/cafes during day), with all facilities decorated to high standard and clean. Also a few supermarkets and shops to cater for all your needs. We rented a car (Centauro - was really good, organised, efficient and friendly service with free shuttle to and from airport). We went to a water park in limnoupolis which was very good (30 mins), explored Chania Town with its Venetian harbour, which was spectacular (25 Mins) and visited Rethymno (45 mins) which was again very nice with Venetian harbour. The rest of the time we relaxed on beach/by the pool. A great family holiday, we will be back"
