"Walking in the lobby, we were immediately hit with that “new hotel” smell. I’m not sure if they’ve had a recent remodel but it was so clean and bright. We were given our choice of floor to stay on and were taken care of swiftly. Our room was sooo clean! No scuff marks, no weird smell, no questionable linens. "The most disappointing part was the check in. It took over 20 minutes for the man to check in the ppl in front of me. Then I had the same experience. He clearly didn’t know what he was doing. Plenty of wildlife to look and perfectly secluded off the highway and right next to the river where there is plenty of fish. "Four brothers (60’s&70’s) that take a week long fishing trip every year…none of which wish to sleep in a bed with another! We made this place work nicely. One in the bed. One on the sofa. Two on air mattresses on the floor! Very well equipped kitchen….we didn’t discover the toaster built into the microwave for two days! Very nice big TV. Very cozy front porch. Plent of parking for boats. Just a few minutes from Elm Creek Marina.we did cut our stay short by a day due to weather."
