As other reviewers have commented, there are multiple houses with different rooms, offering something unique to your experience staying at Volcano Kilauea. Checking into the establishment, I was excited to see what the Olena Room, which was in a different location to the main house, would offer. While the location is great in respect to the National Park Entrance, there were a couple of things that I found disappointing, and one thing I found unforgivable. The room was on the smaller side and clean, the bathroom, also small, had terrible water pressure. The hot tub that was advertised wasn't even working. Those things I can get over, the one thing I found unforgivable was how HARD the mattresses were! If you like sleeping on a floor, then you will not have this problem. Myself and my boyfriend, however found it to be a miserable experience and tossed and turned all night long. In my opinion, the main thing you pay for in a hotel is somewhere to sleep! I would not recommend this "place to sleep" to anyone who enjoys sleeping on a reasonable mattress. Having said this, there were small perks that are included in the room I should note: clean empty mini fridge, wine opener and wine glasses, coffee pot with coffee. Hot tub at main house was in order, so we travelled to take advantage of this feature. It's decent and offeres 3 (steeply) reclining seating positions with water jet massagers. Take advantage of it if you can, it was a nice treat before an uncomfortable sleep.
