The owner and family gave great advice on places to visit in the nearby towns including Montipulciano and also arranged a tour and tasting of a winery owned by the hotels family."

"We stayed one night and were enchanted with the fortress turned hotel in the heart of Sorano. Our room had amazing views of the surrounding town, the breakfast had fantastic coffee and a wide assortment of meats, cheeses, breads, and pastries. The owners tour of the underground wine cellars and wine making process capped off with a tasting was informative and delicious."

"We loved our stay at hotel dei Capitani, would highly recommend. Montalcino is famous for truffles, wild boar, wine, and beautiful views, especially from this hotel. It is on top of a mountain and in the country so you can expect to see bugs in your room like spiders, mosquitos, stink bugs, but they are mostly all harmless and more of a nuisance than anything. When looking for food to eat I recommend “Il Moro SNC di pellegrini Alessandro”, extremely clean kitchen, family run, delicious homemade local food. Don’t trust any of the restaurants hours posted on their websites, the city pretty much closes down once it’s past 8:30 you’ll have a hard time getting food anywhere. Also, the roads are very tight so if you are driving a car I recommend something small. Walking on the walls of the castle was another great highlight of the trip. If you want to visit any wineries make reservations ahead of time. Again, can’t recommend it enough! And thanks to the hotel staff for being so welcoming, hospitable and helpful with recommendations. We loved the whole experience. "

"Stunning Tuscan views, beautifully updated historic propert, warm, friendly and marvelously competent staff, delicious food and wine…this place is a marvel. We enjoyed three days in autumn. The countryside was beautiful and the days were sunny with ideal temperatures. They have a gorgeous swimming pool which should make it even better during summer, though I can’t complain because the off season prices we got were a steal. Words cannot describe how wonderful this place is."

"I honestly feel lucky that I booked this hotel in Tuscany! We stayed there couple days. The environment and vibe is amazing. I’m kind of picky with hotels but Precise is awesome! It’s clean, quiet, safe, and with music, campfire, many pools-even one heated, spa, free parking. Everyone working there are super nice. btw，love the breakfast and dinner. We had unforgettable time in Tuscany with one of the main reason, staying in Precise. I definitely will rebook when I’m back to Tuscany."
