"Nice older hotel, but all modern features in room, in excellent location. About a 10 minute walk to amazing fortress/castle and same to the old part of town. Hotel had a small store attached, where you can buy great wine at an excellent price. They also had a great selection of cheeses and bread, plus other nice foods/snacks. Also, on the third floor they had a nice small terrace area to sit and drink wine, enjoy your bread and cheese and get an amazing view of the magnificent...

"The hotel is inside the walled city, right next to the basilica. As no car is allowed to drive to the castle, the hotel offers a free shuttle to pick/drop you to the parking lot where you get in/off the taxi. The hotel has a lot of history but the condition itself needs some maintenance. The view from the hotel is unbeatable and the staff are super friendly. Overall is a very nice stay. Remember to book a taxi before arrival "

"We had an excellent 1 night stay at Sowell Le Chevaliers. The staff was very patient during our check in. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Carcassonne. The room was clean and nicely appointed with a walkout spacious terrace. We wish we could have stayed another night. The view we had of the walled city and overlooking the river (with bird activity) was a treat."

"Great hotel with fabulous views of Carcassone Castle. Great sized room with bath and shower complementary robe slippers and mini bar. Excellent buffet breakfast. 4pm checkin is later than most hotels Great pool use however steam room etc is part of spa at an additional cost of 45 euros per hour. Overall great location for Christmas markets and castle 🏰 would highly recommend "

"I think the hotel had been closed for a few weeks and we got there at the exact day and time they were re opening so had to call to get someone to let us in but everything fine after that. There is an elevator. The room had everything , including a mini fridge."

"La région est charmante, le domaine est magnifique, le parc, la piscine et la vue sont plus qu'agréables. Les commerces les plus proches sont à au moins 15 minutes en voiture donc il vaut mieux ne rien oublier en faisant les courses mais c'est le prix à payer pour une tranquillité absolue. Les autres logements n'étaient pas loué, un autre pour notre deuxième semaine, c'était parfait pour nous. A voir la cohabitation quand tous les gîtes sont loués mais l'endroit est magique! "It does what it says on the tin, unpretentious delivery of what you need somewhere comfortable and clean to sleep. Some of the facilities are a bit plastic, but that's what you expect. Shower a bit small, but again what you expect. Very limited range of options for dinner locally - albeit food in (effectively self-service) Crescendo was good value."

"Absolutely terrific stay, just loved it. We stayed for one night while driving through France. The hotel looks just like the photos, it is charming and comfortable. I recommend getting the charcuterie board and a bottle of wine and taking it to the garden or side balcony. This was a highlight of the trip. "
