"The lodge had everything we needed and was clean. Our host was pleasant and helpful . It was lovely to have the swimming pool to use at any time . We only had 3 days here but would have liked longer , we will go back ."

Outre le fait d'accueillir leurs hôtes dans 1 lieu confortable ,chaleureux, où tout est mis à disposition pour rendre le séjour agréable , Sylvaine et Jean Paul prennent plaisir à partager leur passion des cheveux, des vaches, des abeilles avec les grands et les petits qui garderont de ce séjour des souvenirs hors du commun!!! "Property was as described. Plenty of kitchen utensils. Four of the five bedrooms are spacious, one is rather cramped with a sloping roof. Some might find the noise of the constant water flow distracting, we found it soothing. The village is quaint and authentic in an agricultural area but its quite far to go to get supplies. We loved this place, we were all adults but I think there would be too little to do for children."

"Location great. Great layout in property. Great fridge and freezer. Not enough toilets for 15 people and the kitchen sink was appalling, probably a health hazard. The charge for cleaning was excessive on top of a charge per bed for sheets etc. Garden and activities good. There were 2 bikes i think but not great. Pool is small but clean and heated. We had a great holiday despite the negatives. I received flowers from the owner on my birthday and champagne in the fridge. A nice touch."

"The hosts are really accomodating and generous. The house was really lovely with plenty of space in each bedroom , lots of ensuites and toys, games books etc for kids and adults alike. Great pool and lovely location to get away and spend quality time. with family"

La localisation est parfaite: au milieu de rien, mais proche de Brienne le Château (15 minutes) pour courses/restaurant/Musée Napoléon et à 30 minutes de lieux à visiter comme les lacs d'orient et Nigloland... La maison est propre et extrêmement bien équipée avec grande télé internet, pong pong, BBQ et babyfoot. Les propriétaires sont amicaux. "Dès le début de notre réservation, Bertrand s'est montré très engagé et coopératif. Il a répondu à toutes les questions que nous avions concernant notre réservation. Lorsque nous sommes arrivés à Saint-Marie-du-Der, Bertrand était là à l'heure et nous a fait visiter la maison. Nous avons été agréablement surpris par l'espace disponible dans cette maison de vacances, qui n'avait que trois ans, et par la modernité de son aménagement. Dans la cuisine, nous avons trouvé beaucoup plus d'appareils...

"The hotel is very suitable for anyone travelling from the UK by road to southern France or the Alps. The drive from Calais to Chalons-en-Champagne is less than 3 hours. The town is not too far from the motorway south. There is very well priced fuel available. The hotel is located in a very pleasant square. Whereas the hotel does not have a dining room (except for breakfast) there are several restaurants and bars in the square. The hotel has a limited amount of parking, but there is parking in the square and an underground car part beneath the hotel next door that is open to the public."

WOULD RECOMMEND

"Hotel is small and modern in the main square of the town - it has an underground car park for 10 euros a night - bliss. Loads of cafes and restaurants around the hotel. I would thouroghly recommend a stay - includes a good breakfast in the price."

"We love this gite, very comfortable and homely on a beautiful estate, we spent lots of time in the pool, exploring the grounds and cooking on the bbq, the owners were helpful amd friendly, would love to return again in the future"
