Splash your days away at Down By The Sea, a truly special home by the beach where the entire, fully-fenced backyard is your own personal waterpark! Enjoy a private swimming pool, a lazy river, a splash pad, and a soothing hot tub for hours of at-home fun.

Step inside to find three levels of living space that are ideal for several families to share. Up on the third floor, the open kitchen and great room feature natural log tables with matching chairs, benches, and bar stools, creating the perfect spot for a memorable gathering. After dinner, there's a 55-inch TV in the living room and a game room with foosball and air hockey to keep everyone entertained.

Spend your days swimming in the pool or soaking up the sun on the surrounding deck, where there's plenty of space to relax poolside, dine al fresco, or play a game of cards. The beach access path is close by as well.

Additional amenities include TVs in seven of the nine bedrooms, Blu-ray/DVD players, free WiFi, a gas grill, basketball, tetherball, horseshoes, a children's climbing structure, and a firepit to curl up next to in the evenings.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Family vacation
The amenities at this house are great for a family with kids. We appreciated the pools, stocked kitchen and space for our family. Unfortunately one room had black mold on the ceiling and therfore the bunk room was unusable for our kids but luckily they were fine camping on the floor.

Great for large family holiday get away
The house fit all of us comfortably and we enjoyed the proximity to the beach and nature preserve. Well stocked kitchen (pans, dishes, etc) and comfortable beds all around. Didn't get to try the outside pool or lazy river (winter stay) but would recommend it to others.

Beautiful Oasis By The Sea
All of the rooms accommodated all of the people in my party as well. I would advise if you have elders in your family, keep in mind there are three levels of steps to walk up and down. The kitchen is on the 3rd floor. I enjoyed the burn going up and down the steps lol. The home was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. They even had a great spice selection. They had more than enough pots, pans, silverware, coffee machines, toasters, blenders, and more to accommodate families. They provide basketballs for the basketball court in the driveway, they have air hockey and foosball in the game room for entertainment. Along with 2 pools. 1 for children and the other for adults. They also have a hot tub outside along with a fire pit to enjoy a wonder spring or summer evening outdoors. There is also a trail to walk right to the beach from the house if you want to catch the beautiful sounds of the ocean. We all had an amazing time and will come back soon for another memorable family gathering.

Beautiful House, but Troubled with Uncleanliness
The house met our needs and accommodation for a family reunion. The kitchen was well equipped and there was elbow room for everyone. Beautiful house! However, the cleaning service the owner uses needs to be held accountable for unfortunate things we found. We discovered leftover snacks under the beddings in bunk beds and around the rails, blood stains on one of the queen beds, dirty towels left in bathrooms, while the first floor was dirty with sand. Just to name a few. I contacted Vacassa via text and local office everyday for four consecutive days (out of ten of our overnight stay) requesting that their cleaning service would come to the house, but to no avail. No one showed up. We decided to clean it all up so that we could enjoy our time together. Though this was my first time renting from Vacassa, this will be my last. Too much trouble for the price.

Almost perfect!
The good: The house is beautiful inside and very comfortable. The furniture is cozy, the beds are conformable and the kitchen is well equipped. Having two washers and dryers was super handy and made it very easy for our family to keep things clean! The lazy river was wonderful and our family truly enjoyed it! The decks around the house had lots of chairs for singing and the hot tub and fire pit really added to the enjoyment of our vacation! the bad: The cable did not work on the televisions for most of the week which wasn't awful because we only watched TV at night but was inconvenient. The biggest disappointment was the fact that although there was a slide on the pictures of the pool, and in the house description. "pool and waterfall" is what is says in the description if the house. There is no slide or waterfall on the pool. The children and adults were very disappointed by this. We enjoyed the pool, and did receive an unexpected partial refund, bu we would have preferred the slide. I think Vacasa should update the listing. It still shows and lists a slide which isn't actually there.

Amenities not working/missing and property dirty.
My family and I arrived to the house. The house was cleaned, but the outside was not. The splash pad on the lazy river did not work our entire stay. TVs were missing remotes, not working through out the house on every floor. Hot tub was disgusting from previous guests and was not cleaned until day 3 of our stay. For the amount of money to pay to stay at a home full of amenities for kids, this was extremely disappointing. Vacasa was called every day of the stay and was told a supervisor would call back. Still have not spoken with anyone or received a call back. I would not recommend this particular property or Vacasa rental agency to anyone coming to Sandbridge Virginia. The slide was also removed but not removed from the photos. We were not notified amenities advertised in both pictures and the description would be taken away with no prior explanation to guests.

Total Disappointment
This property is far past due for a refresh. It was dirty (to include food substances on walls and ceilings on all floors), worn, and many things were broken. The hot tub was empty and non-functioning. The pool was not operating correctly. There were holes in the walls, couch (also broken), and floor grate. There was an inoperable toilet, doors that would not lock, screens that were torn and full of holes. The Kurig coffee pots were less than adequate for a 20 person VRBO, one didn't work at all and the other worked for about 2 cups and then had to be descaled. Fence pickets were broken or missing, not ideal for a pet friendly property. The landscaping was full of debris and unkept. The kitchen cabinets were tacky to the touch and the trash can would not close completely. Niether of the gas grill ignitors worked. Despite several calls to property management and promise of someone to come out to fix things...no one ever showed up nor did we get any type of follow up calls.

Annual Thanksgiving Family Week
The interior of the home was great. Very clean. Spacious common area. Kitchen was outfitted well. Our coffee pot was broken and Vacasa responded quickly with a new one. Outside decks were outfitted nicely w sturdy furniture. We would have given the house 5 stars but there was a major issue with the hot tub that was unresolved by Vacasa during our stay.

Relaxing home
This house is one of the nicest homes we have stayed in during the last 16 years we have been coming to Sandbridge. There were a few wear and tears on the house but overall the house was very comfortable. The lazy river a true bonus!

ehhh, house was nice, outside left a lot to be desired
Inside of house was clean and orderly. None of the amenities that we paid for were ready for us, lazy river was green, pool was having liner replaced wasn't full of water, hot tub was dirty, pool area was covered in weeds. They offered me a whole $200 refund for not being able to use the features we paid a premium for. Response time to customer service was not ideal, Took me 3 phone calls over a 13 hour time period to get a response back. Bottom line is that they weren't ready for guests but expected us to pay full price anyway, in all the years we have been coming to Sandbridge this is the first time its let me down, but it's also the first time we have used this rental agency. Expensive Lesson learned. I have been waiting for 4 days for a better response to the refund they offered but have not heard back from anyone.
