We had a wonderful stay at this beach condo on the edge of Seashore Commonwealth Park. The location was quiet but we'll positioned for beach visits or dinners down on the strip. The condo was very clean and we felt right at home. Thanks for a great place to stay!
We were in the area for our grandson’s wrestling duel matches at the sports center. Nice neighborhood for walks and bike rides.Conveniently located next to the state park. Easy access to public beach.
The house was clean and had a nice location away from crowds. We didn't realize there were not any bath towels but other than that, everything was as stated.
The property was conveniently located to the beach, the boardwalk, shops and restaurants. We enjoy a daily walk and the trails at First Landing State Park were perfect for that. The layout of the house was good for the five of us, two seniors, our daughter and her two children aged 15 and 18. The two flights of steep stairs might not work for anyone with mobility issues.
This home was absolutely perfect for our family beach summer trip! It’s location is perfect. Right at the entrance to the park and easy walking distance to the beach. The house is big and roomy. It was also very well stocked with things you need for daily life. My whole family was so happy and definitely look forward to staying here again!
Loved the location of this rental - next to the state park, at the end of cul de sac, and very close to the beach. North VA Beach has exactly the laid back beach vibe we were looking for. The property is clean and had everything we needed including beach chairs, a cooler and a beach umbrella. The only thing missing were bath towels (which we didn't realize ahead of time) so we had to run out and buy some! Overall it was a great vacation and I'd highly recommend this rental.
Met expectations. Clean. Plenty of room. Comfortable. Easy walk to beach. Little noisy being close to entrance to park and planes flying overhead. Thanks for the stay.
Jeannie was an exceptional host. She was attentive and helped us during the check-in process. The house is full of necessities that was extremely helpful. Just forgot that it didn’t include towels so we had to go out and buy those. But everything from coffee filters to paper towels was just so nice to have there. It was a great place to stay-quick walk to the beach and parking was great.
This is a great house in a quiet neighborhood away from the craziness of the center of Virginia Beach. There were 6 of us (2 adults and 4 teenagers) staying for 6 nights and we had plenty of room.
Three bedrooms on the first floor and a large open room on the second floor next to the kitchen. Each floor had a balcony with morning sun and late afternoon shade.
Kitchen and pantry were fully stocked even with things like ziplock bags and a 10 minute drive to the grocery store for food so we didn't have to eat out all the time.
Laundry room is in a separate entrance below the house and there was also an outdoor shower with warm water to wash off beach sand. 10 minute walk to the beach which was not all that crowded.
The house is near the entrance to First Landing State Park and was a nice place for us to crash for a few days. The gas fireplace was appreciated in the cold snap between Christmas and New Year. Owners were helpful and quick to communicate. The kitchen is definitely dated and needs updating. The house was not as clean as we usually find VRBO rentals. Overall a nice place to stay near the beach!
My friends and I decided to go on a beach week trip for making it to our senior year of college and this house was perfect. The house was beautiful and just as advertised. We were close and in the middle of everything so we could sample everything to do in the Virginia Beach/ Norfolk area. As far as the closest beach is concerned, the property is far enough away from the heavy tourist area so the beach wasn’t packed but not so far away that we couldn’t go to the south side and see the attractions. We didn’t have any complaints about the property or neighbors. Overall a very nice place to stay for a getaway week.
We wanted to see family after being away too long due to the pandemic. As Virginia Beach natives, now living in Chicago, we knew we wanted the north shore. This location is perfect! Easy access to the beach, endless miles of nature trails, and close proximity to 264 to visit family. We used the rental as a hub, and invited family to surf fish on the beach, walk the trails and then play in the water at FLSP, meet us at beach bullies for the best BBQ, and play a round of Jungle Golf. We enjoyed the many porches for outdoor catch-ups, and were thoroughly impressed with how well stocked the house was. All in all, this house is the perfect house to safely reunite with family during a pandemic.
Loved the wooded property with bike trail access in the State Park to ride with our preteen granddaughter. Footpath to the lake was great for the ladies "walk and talk",too. Our 4 year old was easily able to walk to the uncrowded beach. (The jack and jill bathroom was too small for both rooms to share especially since one of the doors did not lock for privacy.) The outdoor steps were not an issue, but the wide gaps between the interior steps would be a problem for small children. Grandma loved the large jacuzzi tub! The open living area was great for gaming, eating and socializing, too. A great vacation was had by all.
Really comfy beach house with great quiet location in pretty wooded setting at the entrance to First Landing State Park. We enjoyed the open kitchen, upstairs front porch for coffee, big picture windows and mirrors to reflect the light and space upstairs, one big bathroom with bathtub, a smaller bathroom shared between two rooms (only for people who are ok with sharing because it is small and very close quarters between the rooms), and a nice powder room upstairs for the big top floor living (sofas), dining (good dining table for 6) and nice open kitchen all together.
Super well equipped. Easy parking. Combination lock for front door and laundry worked worked great. We hope to be back!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Disappointed - Cannot Recommend to Others
1. Deferred maintenance throughout
2. In addition to no towels (which owner noted), no shampoo, soap or tissues were provided.
3. 18 steep stairs to reach front door. (Not a problem for us but might be for others.)
4. Spider webs on railing and on some screens.
5. Interior spaces were clean.
Our family (ranging 3yrs to 64) had a great stay. Perfectly situated just at entrance to the First Landing Park, 2 blocks from ocean, short drive or bike to the bay. Perfect for a family with a small child who might like the bay (clean beach!) and others who might like ocean (another clean beach). We borrowed a bike (in good shape!) from the house and had a great ride in the park. The house was clean with living area on top floor with lovely deck seating and bedrooms on first floor (entire house is elevated on "stilts"-- would not recommend for anyone who finds steps challenging). Everything was clean- including linens, pillows, bath towels.
Great responsiveness from owner! We will be back.
So disappointed! Me and my sister stayed here for a full week to celebrate her birthday. The picture window with a view of trees on the upper level was the only highlight. Both beds were itchy, we had to wash everything we took into this property due to possible bedbug infestation. The second full bath was so small it was not functional. We had to share the master bath. Aside from dishes, the kitchen was far from fully stocked; it lacked basics like a mixing bowl and measuring cup. There are no tvs in the bedrooms, which I thought would be a given for the price. There wasn’t standard cable; another thing I thought would be a standard. The stairs to get to and within the property are brutal. We both had to treat our knees. The washer and dryer are outside of the living areaI, which requires more stairs. On night two, the birthday woman killed a roach! Not the beach house experience we are accustomed to.
This was a great house to accommodate my husband, four year old son, grandma and Grandpa and a last minute addition of my sister. It fit us all great and the top area was wonderful to gather and chat about our day. We had a big event at the Naval Base to attend and it was close to the beach and the base! Just perfect.
Great location for beach and park, beach equipment was greatly appreciated. The house is very clean and comfortable, suitably equipped for our stay, all appliances and air conditioning worked well, plenty of paper products. Check with owners about policy for towels, that seems to be changing. Owners replied very quickly to questions.
The property was as-described. We didn't want or need anything while we were there and the owner responded quickly if we asked any questions. There was more traffic in and out of the state park than we expected but generally it wasn't a problem and the neighborhood was quiet each night.
