"It was very safe and the food was lovely. As ever, there were daily power cuts across Cuba but they made sure to loan me a USB torch and make sure I was okay. Vinales was amazing and I went on a fabulous hike with a guide around the valley. "

"Danay and her family gave us a splendid welcome and wonderful care when we stayed with them at El Coral. Our rooms were beautifully clean with lovely hot water, excellent breakfast and good advice about where to visit. We particularly enjoyed being able to sit outside in rocking chairs! Altogether a most enjoyable stay and to be thoroughly recommended. "

"A unique set of cottages amongst a friendly family. Close to the main part of town but far enough away that you can enjoy some solace. The rooftop was the best part. We hung out up there admiring the "mogotes" and view of the valley. They have a generator so even with power outages, you have lights! Breakfast is $5 and plentiful with eggs, fruit, ham, cheese, toast, juice and coffee. Americans bring your passports as I only had a copy and that created a little issue but all was well."
