"Love this hotel for its charm and location along the Camino de Santiago Frances, but above all else for its amazing restaurant. This was my second stay on the property but this time the restaurant was hosting a large private party. As hotel guests, we were still allowed to eat at the restaurant, but the quality of the experience suffered greatly and was a total disappointment. "

"It was a good place to stay at but rooms allow noise to interrupt a good sleep. After a tiring walk at El Camino, I just wanted to take a shower and sleep, but it was difficult because of the crowd. There were some issues with our Expedia reservation that couldn't be found, but after all they resolved and were very supportive. They are located a bit far from El Camino, so you'll need to pay a round trip taxi when you come and leave ($6-10 Euros). "

"oh my God what a hidden gem. this place is incredible. the moment you pull up and open your car door, the wonderful smell of eucalyptus hits your nose and immediately feel at ease. the owner and her husband were extremely nice, accommodating, caring, and just overall great human beings dedicated to the hospitality business. "It is only really accessible if you have your own transport,because it is off the main road,down a country lane and a fair distance from Santiago de Compostela ,but my satnav got me there,no problem and I was given good advice as to how get to SdC and find parking. It is a lovely country house/converted farm in huge gardens.The room was very good and breakfast was included in the price,which was cheap considering the quality of the place. "

"After a long cold and rainy day on the Camino, Manuel picked us up in town. This was a life saver as we were so wet and cold from the walk. Upon arrival there was a welcoming fire and coffee and cookies. We felt right at home. We were the only guest so we were able to enjoy the family room by the fire all evening. "This circa 1700’s village was both interesting and beautiful. The staff was very caring and communicative. Parking was great once you can find it. The walls are a bit thin so noise travels but guests were respectful and that was the only downside. The bed was xcelle t and a FAN was provided in room. Nearby restaurants were excellent and the towns on the coast were really fun to visit. Truly a highlight of our trip. "

"The road was long and windy to get there, but the welcome and beauty of the place vastly made up for it! The property is less than 30 minutes from the center of Santiago, located in a green valley. The main house dates from the early 18th century, with thick granite walls, and has been wonderfully restored with all modern comfort (including good wifi!). lovely location, beautfully appointed

"what a charming hotel. five stars in every category except one- which they are aware of and inform you of in advance. Since the hotel is in a pedestrian only section of town you've got to park the cxar and carry your bags. Not a terrible thing. Yet- on this same trip we encountered a similar situation in Porto only this hotel would send someone to meet you and bring in your bags. The Rua Vilar might think about it. Everything else is exceptional and the luggage lugging didn't dampen our spirits. Putting it in perspective a lot of folks come to this town after hiking for days or weeks on the Caminho de Capistrano so maybe this is intentional."

"Nice quality property with friendly and helpful staff. Area is nicely wooded with a stream running along a walking path. We walked into old town and the cathedral 2.2 miles without issue. Food was good quality and reasonably priced!"
